Am I imaging things or did Brandon Lewis scramble hurriedly to slip something to Boris.
When Boris's entourage arrived at his luxury retreat after being released from hospital there was a bit of a melee between press, bodyguards et al.
Brandon Lewis frantically scrambled to get ahead of the pack and after, on the steps, getting within "kissing distance" of the PM, appeared to pass or to place something in his (PM's ) pocket. Would love to see the newsreel again to see and wonder was I right and what was so important that he got it.

Probably a get well soon card
So you’d like to debate the possibility that Brandon Lewis May or May not have passed some mystery object to the PM but you may have imagined it?

Exactly right!
OK. I’m in. What news channel did you see it on?
Maybe a ‘ love note’ ? Or his resignation ?
Question Author
BBC news channel
I’d already looked for BBC vids. All I can find is some very boring footage of a Jag and a Beemer pulling up at a security gate. Was it drone footage?
Question Author
No it was reasonably close. Someone in the crowd.
Question Author
The footage was at the steps of the house
Crowd? Surely there wasn’t a crowd when he turned up? Are you sure it wasn’t historic footage of an earlier visit?
Press and public are normally allowed no where near the doors of the residence. The large imposing gates at the front of the main drive are rarely opened and the usual vehicular entrance has a police lodge, barrier and CCTV and intruder alarms. Your scenario is as baffling to me as what was put in the P.M.s pocket. Anyone rushing out of a crowd towards the P.M. would just as likely be bought to the ground one way or other.
Perhaps a handy packet of three for when normal service is resumed?
11.17 Dougie, Think JRM, could have given a few.
Well, you have the right man on the job, needawin. If he can't find any evidence of it happening then it didn't happen.
My claim to fame...I've been inside Chequers (in Thatcher's time) in a professional capacity.
Say no more.
awwww go on, tell us more.

Me also. Immediately after Brighton bomb at the Grand. When we got her back to Chequers she invited us in for tea and a mini tour. She was still quite shaken and all she could worry about was Norman Tebbit’s wife and her other members of staff.
I also taught Gorbachevs head of security to play ‘Knock out Whist’ in a cottage in the grounds. He was permanently inebriated. :-)
If there was a crowd, the police should have dispersed them.
11.43 It just keeps getting better.

As I wrote earlier press and crowds are not normally allowed within the grounds. Camera shots of Chequers are usually through a zoom lens or a chopper.
