Not in the slightest - if something electrical of mine interferes with broadband and I am unaware of it, why would I be embarassed?
Nor me. Once pointed out I would stop using it.
What a lovely little village.

Not sure if I'd be embarrassed or not, I would have had no idea I could cause something like that !
Not embarrassed at all but relieved like everyone else that the mystery was solved.
No, the experts didn't know what the cause was for a long time, it's not as though it was obvious.
I hope the broadband provider bought them a new telly.
well TTT I get you I would be completely mortified (especially if i'd done any moaning about the crap BB service)
It would be a good excuse to splash out on a new massive screen one. Perhaps a bit embarrassed when the neighbours saw the medieval monster box being taken away.
why would I, or anyone, be embarassed?
I would be mortified if people thought I watched tv at 7am! :D

you can tell a lot about people by their answers to this kind of question.
not me. If the experts took 18 months to sort it out, why would I have realised it any sooner? I would certainly never have guessed an old TV or microwave could shut down a whole village.
I would definitely feel embarrassed and sorry that I had caused so much inconvenience to the rest of my fellow villagers for such an extended period of time.
there would of course be those out there whose dinosaur attitude is as old as their television - you know the type, "it's my television and i'll turn it on when I like and if you don't like it you can whistle".....
Not half as embarrassed as I was when I found out sex toys caused interference on a neighbour's tv
If they'd only checked the voter roll to begin with they may have found Jones The Outage.
I don't think you have to be a dinosaur for this to happen, mushroom - maybe you knew an old telly could cut your street off; I certainly didn't. I'd apologise but I wouldn't be embarrassed about it.
lol, I hope you weren't inadvertently broadcasting from a rabbitcam, rowan
I would love to know what the old TV set was. I would guess an old hybrid valve monster that had a screening cover missing from the line oscillator or a HT leak up near the crt anode. Will have to look if I can find the make.
I think that if I still lived in a small village I would feel awkward about unwittingly crashing the entire village's Broadband.
