I have a visitor coming for lunch today, so will be busy in the kitchen later.

He's a wee bit better now he has the pills ...but so disappointed he can't go to see alfie boe tonight....doctor said no emphatically.....stayed here last night and will stay over tonight also...

I'm sorry to see that minty. He was so looking forward to it wasn't he. But his health must come first. You'll be able to tell him all about it. Please give him, and mum, and you, my best wishes. xxx

Morning albs. xxx All well in Scottyland?

Hi Albs x. He has caught shingles...and is in a bit of pain..problem is he could pass on virus for chicken pox to anyone not suitably immune...must have picked it up in hossie last Tuesday as that's the only place he's been. I'm taking his sister with the now spare ticket..she has been very helpful to mum since dad was diagnosed so a wee treat for her...

Silly me. I thought you went to hospital to be treated for your ailments, not pick up a new one. But in the waiting areas any thing is possible.

Poor Dad, if the tablets do for your dad what they did for my FIL, he'll be OK in about a week. (FIL is insulin diabeti amongst other problems. The poor love, as if your dad hasn't got enough to cope with.
