it is that time of year again when I urge anyone who is not an organ donor to sign up. It takes 2 minutes online. Thank you.

I am already signed up, but it is a good reminder to those who haven't.

Muslims CAN donate organs - the Koran says they have a duty to help others. Unfortunately they chose not to. The last statistics I looked at (I think for 2009) there were no donations from them. (Some do make live donations to relatives however.)
There are numerous Muslims on the waiting list for organs.

I must add it is the same for many other races/religions - they are allowed to donate but chose not to, but are willing to take an organ
Yes i have already signed up.

Well done to those of you already on the list.

I must stress I don't want this post to turn into a debate on religion/race

Urgh, too much information there
Hi,mrs..overall,I'm on the donor list-perhaps too old but they're welcome to any part that's ok.Five years next week since my daughter got a kidney transplant-we never cease to be thankful, and think of the donor's family.
I've been on the list for a long time. A very worthwhile thing to do. Happy Christmas all.
hello mrs_o

i am proud to say i also am already registered
been registered for years, as soon as the young albas were 18, they registered too.

To all those registered, I hope it's a heckuva long long time before the time arrives xxxx
Only spotted this doing a bit of catch-up. My OH had five years of life because a wonderful woman who died carried a donor card. The kidney he received was damaged...we knew and accepted that because his type of kidney failure made transplant difficult. A damaged kidney or no kidney?
We had no hesitation.
To all who carry cards....thank you so much. Gx

I wish I could, but unfortunately I cannot be a donor for anything as I myself have a Chronic Disease.
