I can copy & paste on my lap-top, by highlighting text and right clicking + copy but I'm not doing well with 'links'. Say I want to post a 'link' to a newspaper story. If I right click, it doesn't give me a 'copy' option. It has 'copy-shortcut' but that doesn't seem to do anything. I can do links on my phone and I think I've done 1 or 2 on the lap-top but they were more luck than judgement. I think it might be something to do with 'open on another page' or something. Anyway I'm fed up now, so any help will be appreciated. Just checked and on my phone, you can go to 'page address' and then 'copy address' but don't seem to have any thing like that on lap-top.

take cursor onto the page/url that you want to highlight, drag it til blue, left click copy, come back here, right click paste (I think)
It should give you a copy option if you right click - where are you copying the links from?
Right click on address bar which highlights it, click Cut. Go to AB or wherever and click Paste.

sorry to drag you from your party, alba. How do I get the url 'up'?
Question Author
anywhere, say, from a newspaper or another thread on AB.
The URL will be in the address bar at the top, usually starting http or www
Sweety, any web page you look at has a url right at the top, beginning with hhtp. That is the address which you highlight and copy.
Question Author
just looked, it has 'cut' right above 'copy' but they don't 'light up' as it were so cant click on them.
Sorry my question wasn't clear, I meant where on the page.
For instance when you say a newspaper story, are you clicking on the address bar link to that page, or on something within the text of the story.

Question Author
aha, give me a moment.
thanks, Chelle, much better than me typing the thingie at the top of the page in the white box.
(I'm sooo technically challenged it's unbelievable)

Sweety, if you want to post a link from another page on AB, open a new tab/window, (there will be loads of better explanations than mine, I can do it, but trying to explain it is just to difficult for me) x
I opened a new window, went to bookmarks and clicked on a favourite.
Site opened in new window.
Went to what I wanted, left clicked til blue,
right clicked to copy
and back here to right click to paste
