It seems research has revealed many old sayings are falling out of use, probably. I see some I used often but rarely now.

The spend a penny one is odd though, I have heard that regularly used as with pulling the chain (although they dont mention that one for some reason - perhaps there are still a lot of chains about).

A mate of mine always answers Tickety Boo when you ask him how he is. He's probably only in his mid to late 40s, too.
I say 'tickety boo' a lot but I've just looked at that list and I regularly use most of them. Chin chin!
