What a brilliant unexpected result ( for me as an England supporter) that England would win this match on Wales home ground. A very exciting match and both sides fought tenaciously.Wales were very worthy opponents but the better side won (unexpectedly for me tonight) won. England cannot be written off yet even with their injury problems. A fantastic start to a fantastic game and tournament.

I've just posted this on the other rugby thread.."What a great win for England and a hell of a 2nd half - the physicality and then the use of the short pass in the tackle.....destruction.

Good match though..."
Brilliant game - the tackling was ferocious - but a great comeback by England!

Sorry didn't know, in my excitement, that you had posted on CB. Yes a brilliant result. As a half Welshman I couldn't believe how Wales just crumbled in the 2nd half.
You could see the crumbling beginning to happen in the final 15 minutes of the 1st half, retrocop. Great pack performance - Ben Youngs a big tick.... I was all for seeing Vunipola go at half time, as I thought he was sluggish but he came out in the 2nd and use that bulk of his.... Robshaw MoM?

Good show from Mike Brown again and great try from Joseph.

Having read the hilarious posts on your thread on CB may I respectfully suggest it be sent to the Jokes section. Clock mistaken for score. Can't stop laughing :-)

Always like Mike Brown. He is the splitting image of my youngest son who also is a Rugby fanatic so I suppose I am biased.
Yes. Can't argue with that( MoM) or the referee's decisions. An exciting game. Promises to be a good tournament.
shame about Haskell's non-try......
It's embarrassing to watch as a football fan to see the tackles flying in and they get up as if nothing happened yet a footballer gets a slight nudge and goes down like he's been shot
A footballer gains a free-kick by going down.
You might (or possibly might not) want to rephrase that, talbot ...
Not really, SD ... how do you think Man U got Howard Webb to give them so much slack?
In case Howard Webb's lawyer is in the building Joke! ;0)
A disappointing game.......reduced by both sides to forward battle and far too much kicking on the few occasions that the backs actually had the ball.

Hope the two games tomorrow will be much better, and we see some open rugby played.
Only just found out the result. Well done England, especially after such a rotten start.
i'm crying into my gin.
Just got up retro, great result ferocious performance from both teams. Even when depleted England do have the strength in depth. Does anyone know what the yellow card was for, I couldn't figure that out. Also when the player ran into the post with the ball touching the post I thought that was a try so someone enlighten me! Best game ive seen in a long time.
players going down
tora getting up

this should be on the porno thread - anyway I enjoyed the game

First time I havent been able to lip-read the ref and then I heard him on audio and worked out why ( eez fransh axon )
The ball has to hit the foot of the post to be given as a try
for not releasing, I think, TTT
