The Bible says that
//Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen//

How is that any different from saying that faith is
unsupported assertions of impossible absurdities with no good evidence?

Why is ''Faith'' promoted as a good thing?
The 9/11 high-jackers had faith.
So did the followers of Jim Jones and David Koresh.

//Why is "faith" promoted as a good thing? William Wilberforce, Elizabeth Fry, Florence Nightingale, Martin Luther King. I rest my case//

The people you mentioned were all ''Christian'', so my response will be all ''Christian''
Spanish inquisition
Witch burnings

(Go on. Get the Wilberforce thread on the go if you want to learn more about this man)
Eradication of Native American Indians

Ha! Khnadro's got you there! No reply to that!
faith ermm jc got up after death, and erm disappeared...sorry rose to heaven, momo rode to heaven on a winged horse...faith mmm not abrahams.
Khandro's wafted off to his mystical airy-fairyland again. Straight answers from him, as always, in short supply.
The reply was at 18:18, though perhaps too esoteric for a rationalist :0)
What a very special people you religionists are, Khandro. Your perception is unsurpassed, It's almost as though no one else has ever been there and done that ... and subsequently recovered possession of their brains.
Jesus said to a Samaritan woman: “God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him must worship with spirit and truth,” not according to fables or imaginary ideas. (John 4:24)
Today, the Bible reader is surrounded by events that indicate that the Messianic kingdom is at hand.
But to the majority of those putting hope in this world it appears that things are going to go on as they are now to time indefinite.

No but true Christians having strong, enduring faith is better than being a great conqueror, because the apostle John says: “This is the conquest that has conquered the world, our faith.” (1 John 5:4) It is a question of integrity, not of might. Enduring with faith is following the pattern of the one with greatest faith and the conqueror of the world, Jesus Christ.—John 16:33.
Goodlife // worship with spirit and truth,” not according to fables or imaginary ideas //

Do you have any good examples of fables or imaginary ideas?
Aren't all fables & ideas imaginary?
About 3 years ago, American Express fraud protection refunded me the purchase price of a laptop I had ordered online. I was scammed because I missed simple red flags like no estimated delivery date. Regardless, I now had an electronic receipt stating that I had purchased a laptop. It had no value and turned out to be an example of unsupported assertions of impossible absurdities with no good evidence. The receipt was only as good as the non-existent store that issued it. Having actual integrity, God’s Word declares it is as good as He is: Psalms 138:2 “...for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” It contains over 900 promises that are already paid for and can be claimed by showing our “receipt” (believing is our receipt). Hebrews 11:1 (literal) “Now believing is the title deed to things prayed for, the evidence they are yours before they are seen.” Find the promise of God… believe… and you’ll receive it.

Indeed, but it is still possible to differentiate one from another and give examples.
Psalm/Goodlife, words from the Bible don’t cut the ice. Some of us have read it - and found it sadly wanting.
Anyone who finds the Bible 'wanting' must be brain-dead, sez I
Khandro; yeah, sez you. But 'sez I' wins no arguments, it just shows you have no argument. Do you see that?
