Happy Easter. You can say many things about Easter, but for me one of the most profound is Jesus's victory over the last enemy eg death. We no longer have to fear death as some fearful end. Jesus provides a path to Life if we are willing to accept it.
It is no longer fashionable to see binary outcomes but either the Ressurrection happened or it didnt and either Jesus is God or He isn't. Our whole destiny hangs on these points. Happy Easter

He isn't, but Happy Easter anyway.
So let it be written
So let it be done
//but either the Ressurrection happened or it didnt//
Yes, OK!
//and either Jesus is God or He isn't//
Depends on what Gospel you read.

Never understood this Easter stuff even as a christian,
Friday until Sunday is NOT 3 days and 3 nights.
(2 Nights and a bit at most)

It didn't, he isn't, we are stardust.
Anyway,
I spent my Easter like Jesus....
I got hammered!!
Happy spring Goddess fertility rite anyway.
Happy Easter Blessings.
God bless us, each and every one. Greetings from
Mr T, Timm.
" . . . Jesus's victory over the last enemy eg death"

If death is the gateway to Heaven, how can it be 'the last enemy'???
What a load of utter tosh.
It's not a USP - other religions postulate a life after death.

Nailit- It is only Spring in the Northern Hemisphere.
I never said anything about the Easter timeline. I agree with you about the 3 days and nights thing. The important thing is that the crucifixion and resurrection happenned. No days of the week are mentioned in the Gospel accounts and I think there is a reason for that
Easter Monday - the day that God, having given his only begotten son to much lauding from his followers, then took him back again.
alleluia!
Fiveleaves. If you think the concept of life after death is unique to Christianity you haven’t made an informed choice of religion. As for life after death, you confess you’re afraid of death and so you tell yourself it’s never going to happen to you. Without that carrot your God would be redundant.
‘ No days of the week are mentioned in the Gospel accounts and I think there is a reason for that’

Yes, the reason is ‘ambiguity’. Just like a lot of other bible rubbish.

Naomi- I never said I was afraid of death and I am not. You have misquoted me. Please read my original post carefully
Fiveleaves, I read your post. You say you are NO LONGER afraid of death which means at one time you were.
//Nailit- It is only Spring in the Northern Hemisphere//
AND?
Why should a middle Eastern religion have any bearing on our timeline or culture then?

The bible claims that Jesus would be in the Tomb for three nights and three days as Jonah was in the belly of a large fish.
Friday evening until Sunday morning is not three days & three nights! Do the maths!
Should we disregard this false prophecy then?
//I agree with you about the 3 days and nights thing//
Good!
A bit of dialogue at last between a christian and an unbeleiver.
