I haven't found a single scientific proof to prove that atheists exist. I've seen plenty of anecdotal evidence but no solid proof. So all you argumentative no-God-loving types should stand up and show proof they exist. Bonus points for showing proof God doesn't exist.

Claiming you're an atheist is anecdotal. I want real, solid, and scientific proof sustainable in a laboratory environment.

Cowtipper: Like the vast majority of Christians you select what you want from the Bible and ignore the bad stuff.

You don't see any conflict between its 2000 year old "wisdom" and genuine rational morality because the conclusion you have come to are inextricably wound into the Biblical doctrine.

Let's do a reality check, where do you stand on homosexuality?

"Cowtipper. You are ignorant of science" sounds like a personal attack.

Beso, you're a freaking ass. I mean you argue a bit like a donkey I had once. No offense intended.

You personally attack me and my character without cause. You make assumptions about me while I give you the benefit of the doubt.

"Rubbish. The Solar System and even the large scale Universe is basically quite simple. Sure we have not cataloged every last piece of rock but the physical mechanisms behind virtually everything we have observed are well understood. "

"virtually everything we have observed"
Yes. Almost. What you can see. Not what exists. You rely on your eyes and your eyes are just light collectors. Your mind is small because you've filled it already. There's no room for you to contemplate what might be. You obviously know too much to be taught.

Your arrogance speaks volumes. Sure, there's dirt under our feet. You can predict how fast it will fall, where it would orbit if it fell and missed, how it would be trapped by gravity and possibly how it might approach the speed of light. You might even begin to hypothesize about what effect it might have. Only a fool would even contemplate the idea of knowing "just about everything there is to know." Bend time. Accelerate past the speed of light. Tell me how life would evolve in another atmosphere. Hell, cure a common cold and make it stay cured. I've read all of Einstein's work. I even understood it. Einstein himself knew his own limits and where they were lacking. I doubt you know what the theories mean but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Your education seems ok, but your wisdom is lacking.

Here's one you'll love. Make atheists tolerant of other people. You see how many angry posts are in here for attacking somebody's belief system as a joke? Fix that. You claim the high moral ground by

...You claim the high moral ground by claiming you're above it when you snear at what I think is right. You blame "religion" when the problem is man. You want Christianity to take the fall for your inablities? Talk about judgemental, dude you're worse than a church full of hypocryts because you don't accept any culpability or sense of responsiblity.

"We understand everything because we believe we do" seems to be your defense. Accountable only to yourself and nothing else. Your inbred moral standard came from out of the blue one day. Right...
Yawn

Yeah, I gotta go to bed too Samak. Night.
Yippeeeee
I did not make any claim about "just about everything there is to know." What I said is we know enough to explain every observed phenomenon. Astronomers have looked to distances that come close to as far theoretically possible and nothing has conflicted with our understanding based on Relativity and Quantum Mechanics. Many experiments have tried to find variations in the fundamental physical constants and none has been found.

I was merely disputing your inane notion that we had "barely touched the surface" and that the "theories were waiting to be disproved".

Your comments about accelerating beyond the speed of light show that you don't understand Einsteins work at all. The speed of light is a fundamental structural parameter of the Universe. Einstein realised this as an implication in Maxwell's equations.

I don't see atheists making angry posts. They just point out that a belief in God is entirely unsupported. Their beliefs are a joke. The theists though seem to get very angry. Fortunately they are no longer allowed to kill heretics.

I will tolerate the religious when they stop pedaling their ridiculous philosophy as a model society should be using to define morality.

Regardless of where morality came from what matters is the future and I see religion as standing in the way of secular morality that is based on facts and observation because it conflicts with their stupid arcane books.

Theists like to hide behind the idea that Man is the problem rather than religion. It is rubbish. Men hide behind religion to do their dirty work. The same tired excuse has been use throughout history. It isn't really me doing this massacre, I am just following the work ordained by God and it is not for me to question.

The fundamental premise of religion is that knowledge can be gained though faith and that such knowledge is beyond question. That is the core of the pr

I was just amusing myself. Rattle the cage and see what rises to the bait. It was just a joke but there are some good replies in here. I feel like these are all in the spirit of the thread:

"...Forget asking God for a bike, it wont happen. You are supposed to steal the bike and then ask God to forgive you. "
"...Mine has two words too, they are on the cover and say "don't panic" in large friendly letters. "
"...I'm struggling to decide whether or not to stand up and be counted as an atheist or stand up and be counted as god." (Best Answer)
"i now believe i have found god. i saw him at the bottom of a pint of landlord. the glass was magically refilled when i returned so
a) i must have pleased god, presumably by finding him
b) miracles do happen (dave from accounts bought a round)"

"I thought I'd give people a shot at proving there's not a God to point out in a tongue in cheek way that "God doesn't exist" isn't an argument, its an opinion."

I can't prove love exists (or any emotion for that matter) so how can I prove the existence of a thought? Nobody can- hence its a farce.

I gave what I hope were reasonable responses where it seems pertinent to do so. The problem I had is that big ideas don't fit in small soundbites so the comments became tediously long (mine included).
