God has been kicked out of the public arena, together with the self discipline normally associated with religions of whatever denomination.
In place we have seen the arrival of a collective madness, akin to a religion, that involves climate fear, the conditioning of the masses to do the bidding of the global elite, giving up freedoms, adapting the woke agenda, a resurgence of leftism, and a readiness to condemn anybody not belonging to our own narrow faction.
In short, we are descending further and further into a global insanity.
At least, that's what I think.
Is there a way back to normality?

The point is, naomi, that you can throw it at literally anyone, so it is hypocritical if anyone uses it at others. I could give you, for instance, examples where all those would apply- but it would be rude and lazy to. Can you suggest anyone on AB, including yourself, who could never be called any of those?
ynna - // Sorry,Andy. The wee toddlers at Auswitsch were murdered by crazy nationalists. No laughing matter.i dont and wont let that happen up here in Scotland. No way. //

First of all, you need never apologise when responding to something I have written - if a view is worth expressing, it shoudl never need an apology in front of it.

That said, I am not sure what your point is.

I hope you would never think me crass enlugh to think that mass murder my psychopaths is a laughing matter - which is why the link I posted has nothing to do wih that.

The scenario enacted points out the utter futlility of trying to defend harm and damage to innocent people by saying it is somehow 'God's will'.

That is tne point I offered - it does not connect with the Holocaust in any way, unless you are seeing something I am missing.
Nationalism is a cancer on the whole world,Pixie. We can and must fight against it.Im in,are you?
The Tower Of Babel?
Not entirely, ynnaf... lol. It depends to what degree...
If you read Josef Kramers autobiography(which i dont recommend),pixie, you will never sympathise with nationalists ever ever ever.
I'm not saying I do, ynnaf, just reluctant to agree when I'm not sure of the actual question :-)
Togo, something like that. :o)

Ynna, what are you ‘in’?
You're female... I didn't realise, sorry.
Naomi,i dont understand your question-what am i "in".-No political groupings or parties,hun.Against nationalism,thats all.
Ok.
oh I thought 'in' was code for book
as in ( in ha!) I am into - - - Bloch - what is history?

also Officers and Gentlemen.

Poor Bloch: His studies and his death as a member of the Resistance led him to be called"the greatest historian of all time".16 June 1944
O god ynni - lucky girl - - you may pass...

Ynni - Against nationalism? Strange.
I am a nationalist, I love our borders, even if they are full of holes, our history, and I am proud of my country.
Why not you?
Thinking everything was better in the past is part of the human condition, one theory for why we feel that way is that the past can be viewed by us with a certainty that the present cannot provide.

Truth is for most of us in the Western world some things were better and some things were worse and in answer to your question no, there is no way back and even if the world went back to how it was at whatever date you think the apogee was, you wouldn't, so it would feel all different to what the memory of the first time round does to you now.
Normality is whatever you choose to make of it. Instead of worrying for how things are try to make yourself a new normal. The world is forever changing around you and hating it as it does so doesn't help it. If you want to embrace god more go to your church. It's your right to be able to do so. It's your right to believe in god. But it's also just as much a right for others to not believe in him.

Thank you all for the comments posted so far.
Interesting, but I am still very much convinced that we are in the grip of a global insanity.
The only Global insanity at the minute is the illiberal wokeism thats peddled by a minority who shout loud.
Question Author
Wrong!
If you follow the rubbish from the so called climate scientist experts, and swallow the big lie, then like millions of others, you are insane.
I don’t think YMB is talking about climate change. He’s talking about what he calls ‘illiberal wokeism’, and I agree with him. If you’re looking for global insanity that’s where you’ll find it.
