God has been kicked out of the public arena, together with the self discipline normally associated with religions of whatever denomination.
In place we have seen the arrival of a collective madness, akin to a religion, that involves climate fear, the conditioning of the masses to do the bidding of the global elite, giving up freedoms, adapting the woke agenda, a resurgence of leftism, and a readiness to condemn anybody not belonging to our own narrow faction.
In short, we are descending further and further into a global insanity.
At least, that's what I think.
Is there a way back to normality?

Naomi, it's a pointless word. People use it mostly to try to be denigrating, but without explaining what they actually mean. Lazy and cowardly.
Yes,Pixie....if God existed why didnt he/she prevent the rise of the Nazis or the rise of the Russian socialists under Stalin. Both Hitler and Stalin were anti-Christs and haters of God,why didnt God stop them before they were born.Nah,a wee bit angry and a helluva lot of tears for the wee toddlers of Auswitsch.....
He doesn't exist.
I disagree. The only people who object to the use of the word ‘woke’ - and the term ‘virtue signalling’
- are those virtue signallers who defend the nonsense that comes from the ‘woke’. It’s all the rage!
Ynna, you would be shocked by Theland’s answer to your question. Having once told me his view on that I think he’s reluctant to repeat it - and so he should be.

My answer would be that God never intervenes in any atrocity. He can’t - because he’s nowhere to be found.
It used to be, naomi, lol. As I said, AB is well behind real-life. But let's be honest, if you are reduced to using adjectives such as "woke" (and it's used sarcastically, not properly) or "virtue signaller", it's only because you (not you, personally) can't explain what you actually mean. So ancient buzzwords from 12 year olds, have to suffice.

The media, which feeds and in turn feeds off all this pointless nonsense, simply exploits human nature.

It's a cultural aspect that people like new words and phrases, and adopt them for a while, and then drop them and move on.

While the terms are in vogue, they crop up everywhere, and it appears that everyone uses them, and you are out of touch if you don't.

Remember when The Beatles started talking on TV? In Those days, hardly anyone travelled outside their own locale, so for Londoners, hearing The Beatles say "Yeah, Fab, Gear, Grotty ..." and so on were a real novelty.

It was as though they had invented their own hip language, which they hadn't, they simply used the common phrases that people used daily where they came from.

But the public seized on the words and everyone said them and then they became assimilated into language, and ceased to be a novelty.

Now, with the internet, the notion of 'local' speech has ceased to exist, but not the public's interest in novelty expressions, so the media invent them, and people use them, and then drop them.

Personally, i can't wait for the term 'influencer' to go out of fashion.

It makes me laugh every time I hear it, although I admire the ability of someone to find a single word that encapsulates every vacuous teenager who has had their empty pointless opinions about nothing deemed as important enough for other vacuous teenagers to parrot after them.
Yes,Naomi.I read Josef Kramers auto-biography.I just couldnt stop crying. He was the boss at Auswitsch, his biography makes harrowing reading. He was hanged at the end of the war.If you are easily upset please dont read his autobiography
@16.49.I missed it,Naomi, what did he/she say?Im Scottish,i can take it...and give three times back.Us Scots dont take no s*it lightly.

As an atheist, I have no issue with the notion that people do unspeakable things simply because they can.

I do have serious issues with what they do - and the consequences thereof, but i am delighted to be spared the endless hang-wringing and crocodile tears of Christians who have to spend all day every day trying to reconcile why their God lets these things go on and does not spare innocents from horrible bheaviour.

They do love their 'free will' Get-Out-Of-Jail-Free / one-size-fits-all excuse for such things, but if I believed that for one moment, I weould never sleep again.
Ynna, I’ve been to many holocaust memorial sites across the world including Yad Vashem
in Israel
and Auschwitz. Nothing excuses any of it - least of all Theland’s explanation.
Ynna, sorry, cross posted and missed your question. Theland contends that the holocaust was all
part of God’s plan to return his chosen people - the Jews - to their homeland - Israel - and frankly I’ve never heard anything quite as disgusting as that.
I don't think we need to consider something as horrible as Naziism, Mr Bentos from Cheltenham seems to have it pretty much pinned down here -

16:56, it's worse than that, Andy. Literally, everyone who uses woke, virtue signalling or snowflake is a hypocrite. Different things upset different people... so it can be applied to everybody.
*in your opinion ..
Sorry,Andy. The wee toddlers at Auswitsch were murdered by crazy nationalists. No laughing matter.i dont and wont let that happen up here in Scotland. No way.
Is that to me, naomi? If so, which part? Do you think different people aren't bothered by different things?
Ynna, Why on earth would you think it might happen in Scotland?
Yes. that was to you, pixie. I disagree that ‘literally everyone’
who uses those terms is a hypocrite.
@17.26.Back in the 1930s they said the same about the Nazis."It wont happen up here in Scotland" are the most famous(and heinous)last words possible.
