I’m fed up with people knocking this great country of ours so in the spirit of patriotism I reckon it’s time to fly the flag on all public buildings, schools included, and anywhere else people would like to fly it. I’m searching for a flag pole and someone to install it in my garden as I type. What say you?

we have had posts on the split from UK, by Scotland, i honestly think more would rather they stay part of the UK than go it alone.
that was to Ken
Just make sure you pole does not exceed 4.6m (I think).

My father has flown the Union Flag and St George's flag for years on the flag pole at the end of his garden. Unfortunately, he keeps having to replace the flags because the wind there is dreadful.
Yep, I like this one :0)

make sure you fly it the correct way up.
there's a chap that lives near me that flies the COS above the Union flag, always makes me laugh because you can't get much further from Scotland here!
Not so sure Mr B will want a flag on the house though:(
So if anyone wants a big Union flag ( s) I have some :0)))
the other thing is that I've never met a Scot who even knows the origin of the cross of St Andrew. Now they'll all be googling but hand on heart our Scottish members, did you know? I bet you really didn't.
I would like to fly crossed flags, the Union Flag and the Israeli flag.
hang on, theland, I know I am going to regret this but you do realise that Israel is anti Jesus don't you?
It was from the shape of clouds in the sky at a battle but couldn't tell you the name of the battle.
TTT - anti-Jesus? Yes but the only true democracy in the area, our first line of defence against Islam. Also, our future is bound up with theirs.
right oh! You did realise it was the Pharisees that wanted Jesus crucified, right?
Yes, our history is bound up with theirs.

Theland, this is about our country. It’s not about politics or religion - it’s about patriotism and standing up for what we have. We have a country to be proud of and proud of it we should be.
Totally agree Naomi
still not found a Scott who knows!
I go away for a couple of weeks but as soon as I return I hear the tramp of shiney boots marching up and down, the wild-eyed ones frantically searching for ein leader - maybe even ein father.

Good to see so little changes in the dreamy world of Answerbank Intellectuals.
