Despite people and their devotion to various patron gods,

The great issue facing each one of us, Is it rising sea levels and freak weather caused by global warming? Is it depletion of the ozone layer, leading to dangerous exposure to the sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays? Is it a population explosion, which compounds other global problems, such as poverty and crime, coronavirus pandemic? Or is it the prospect of the annihilation of untold millions in a nuclear war, with any holocaust survivors eventually dying in agony from cold, starvation, or radiation?

Funny how goodlife's English improved at 18:20.
Same happens with locusts.
I think you're all being trolled & that the three religious posters are actually one person who intentionally messes up the grammar to make it appear as if they are from some where else.
Take a closer look at their posts.
Well, goodlife, you ask “What do you believe is needed to bring an end to pain and misery for all?” The Buddha, several thousand years ago, taught that humanity’s suffering was largely due to ‘attachment’, i.e. people’s insatiable desire for things.

Once you overcome that, and (simplifying drastically) adopt a ‘take it or leave it’ attitude to worldly possessions and desires, you have a chance of self-realization and less suffering.

Not sure how this ties in with Christianity, but I suspect there are more similarities than differences.

A
AZardoz, they're not one and the same. Goodlife and Locusts copy and paste a lot which explains the irregularities in their use of the English language.

"People in Noah’s day thought it was a joke,in Sodom in Lots day thought it was a joke, World war 1and 2 thought was a Joke ,the COVID-19 a joke"
I think this is the most ridiculous statement I have ever read. goodlife should be ashamed but of course won't be because he often comes out with similar rubbish and immediately believes it to be true.
I'll tell you what I DONT believe.
That there would ever be friendly chat on R & S and devoid of point scoring.
So you think some statements qualify for a comment?
Fine.
But why talk down to anybody, and ridicule them as so often happens on here?
Theland, when somebody like yourself and goodlife come out with such rubbish supposedly because it's in the bible then they and you need to prove what you're saying or shut up.
Theland - // But why talk down to anybody, and ridicule them as so often happens on here? //

I don't know - are you going to tell us why?

You should know if anyone does ...
You are bending the truth
Who is bending what truth?
That has to be 'those without faith's Naomi, all the Christians know the truth, so it can't possibly mean them!
The truth is, the default position for some is to respond to posts by talking down to the poster.
