How did you propose?

My friend has just posted a pic on FB. She had a baby two weeks ago. She woke up this morning and her son was wearing a babygrow saying 'Daddy says will you marry him'

How sweet is that?

awwww sweet. What has mummy said???

Mr Alba said to me, what would you say if in 6 months time I asked you to marry me? I replied, ask me in 6 months time then.
Most daring and unromantic one Ive heard" How would you like to be buried with our people? Romantic what..
Question Author
Mummy said yes. It her birthday today as well :-)

Wee....v v v very romantic....lol
When my oh proposed it nearly split us up :(

I really don't like surprises and being put on the spot in front of other people, so when he came in and told me to sit down (I had family and friends visiting me) then went to kneel down, I just legged it. lol
He threw the ring at me, stormed off and refused to even speak to me for days. I must have sent him a hundred texts apologising over it. We eventually talked and I explained that I went into fight/flight mode, he proposed again with just me and him there and I accepted, we've been engaged for about 7 years though and we're not really in a hurry to get married.
I hope she was supposed to have been dead.

I wish them a long and happy life Ummmm. (We know there is no such thing as that constantly happy thingy but I do wish them well xx)
Awww how cute is that!!
That was sweet and imaginative. My proposal if you can call it one was "I think you are going to be my third mistake" (He had been married twice before). I didnt answer, but in time we did get married. That was 38 years ago.

Mine proposed when I was in a bit of a mess. It wasn't long after my Dad had died. I was round my mates house and got a bit tipsy and emotional. I came home and went straight to the kitchen...he came to give me a cuddle and a tissue for all the snot. And proposed...

Bless him :-)
awww Ummm, he's a sweet caring snoring kinda guy :)
I think thats really sweet ummm : )
In my experience the marriages with the most "slushiest" proposals tend to be the one's doomed to failure, but the ones with the simplest and least emotional and drenched in exhibitionism, tend to be the most successful.
Question Author
What's "slushiest" ?

Public ones? Or ones like the one in my OP?
Sqad, ditto the wedding complexity. I bought the ring, dress and flowers on the day itself. A photographer hanging around outside did the photos. Cake and champagne at my sisters after the ceremony. All out to an Italian restaurant in the evening.
I can't remember my husband ever proposing. We just assumed we were going to get married and eventually did. We stayed married for sixty three years until he died.
ummmm

""sick making..... nauseous....over the top"

\\\\Public ones? Or ones like the one in my OP?\\\\

Both.
The ones who propose on live TV and on the Footie Ground lights get on my nerves.

A little FB page is nice.

The one in my OP is really sweet. It wasn't public. He got up with the baby, fed him and changed him, before waking Mammy up. Mammy wakes up to her new born son wearing a proposal.

That's sweet.
That's really lovely. Even if they are sinners ;)
Starbuckzone - thats a lovely long marriage : )
awww that's really sweet
