Don't know. I failed too and like you I was born here and never lived anywhere else. I got 33% of the answers right. After 84 years, I should be ashamed but I am not. Some of the questions were very stupid, in my opinion.
I got 58
The answers were highlighted in green/red at the end of the test, on the results page, the one that told us we were all rejected!

Thanks for your prompt and helpful replies Stabuckone, ummmm and Philtaz
ive done it a few times and failed everytime..
im not convinced on some of the answers, still annoyed by the bank holiday one
Thing is if you never fall foul of rules and regs or need benefits, or teach English political history you don't need to know so why learn it... CRAZY!!!!!
I want to do tis - can anyone post the link please?
I'm 100% British and don't need a test to prove it.
Thanks for the link, shedman - I failed abysmally. I was actually laughing all the way through as was just guessing so the 12 points I got were certainly more by luck than judgement.
hope you have found it - at the end the q's are at the top, highlighted in green if you got it right or red if it was wrong. If you click on an individual question it tells you the right answer and what percentage of people answered it correctly
This is in no way racist nor meant to be racist but - if this 'exam' is so difficult how come we have immigrants in our area who can't speak English? Does only one member of the family have to pass the exam? when we lived in Canada we applied for citizenship and every member of the family over the age of 16 had to sit the citizenship exam - and the same as in UK the canadians used to laugh cos most of them did'nt know the answers either.
OMG just had another go and scored 9 this time. Hope I don't get deported.
Are those questions real or just made up for the programme?
Kristal, either way they are exactly the same questions in content and form as real ones, bad as that may seem; they are probably taken from past tests. There are books on sale which contain sample questions from real tests, with answers, to help those studying for the test, and the Channel 4 ones are just like those questions.
Native citizens don't need to know more than a small bit of the "syllabus";I can't see why the questions aren't simply about the rights and liberties we take for granted, but which foreigners might not recognise from their previous countries. Knowing what percentage of the UK population is in Scotland, or how many Bank Holidays there are, is irrelevant.
I scored 42 the first time...then attempted it again today-and scored 88% ;-)
But that's only because I remembered the correct answers on the ones I missed first time around. As it is-I did a lot of guessing.
the bank holiday one is definitely wrong. So how do you know they got some of those other trivial statistical ones correct?
