theres a eureka?
the old Piece hall where the wool was taken for sale, it is a marvellous building. there is a brilliant market. oh and the tower, lol, there is a story about the tower!!!!!! Envious neighbours lol. If you can, drive over to Hebden Bridge, amazing little village, poet laureate Ted Hughes went to the grammar school (with my Mum) oh and Sylvia Plaith, his wife, is buried at Heptonstall Church (where my parents were married). Drive over to Haworth, just over the moors, to where the Brontes lived and wrote their works. You can go to Oakworth Satation, where the Railway Children was filmed.
To be honest, theres not a lot to look at in halifax, theres the run down night club the colliseum. The Halifax bank H/O next to it. as dot.hawkes said the peice hall, then thats about it.

Its actually sunshining today here is happy-fax, which is unusual. thinking about, why not come and see me, probably the best thing to see in halifax..lol!!!
Don't know if it's still open as i haven't been home to halifax for years but we used to love the Industrial Museum in the Piece Hall.

Homer 55 - i remember the Colliseum opening! Many an "interesting" night spent there!
