the Acapulco in Halifax is selling off squares of its notorious sticky carpeted floor...

given the nature of this type of establishment, i'm pretty sure it wasn't unique in being sticky, indeed i can think of two from my youth that were the same - the Painted Wagon in York, and Cherry's Wine Bar in Reading.

are there any sticky-floored clubs you frequented back in the day? and were they memorable enough for you to want to buy a sticky square of carpet? (mine weren't....)

Yates Wine Lodge. Now that was really sticky, not sure it was all wine either judging by some of the clientele!
rembrandt in manchester - notorious
I mean if a chip fell on the floor and sort of survived then you wouldnt pick it up and eat it as you normally do
judging should be sludging - or thrutching

one night in the painted wagon, a friend had a lens fall out of his glasses. no chance of seeing it in the semi light - no matter, it was closing time soon and we'd find it when the main lights come on. when the main lights did come on, the lens search was immediately abandoned as the floor was a sea of broken glass......
Disgusting! Kind of thing you buy then regret. Try not to buy clutter.
