first time we've used these on holiday and I'm hooked, they're small sheets you place inside your washing machine which disperse the washing substance , they themselves evaporate so there's no residue , no more soapy drawers, you can get bio and non bio  ( Dr Beckmans Magic leaves)

they are great for holidays (where you have acess to a wm) but expensive per wash for home i think

Question Author

I only paid about £3-59 in B&Ms Bednobs

cheaper than i thought then!

Sound ideal, must look out for these.

Question Author

Maggie , they're really good

Thanks Bobbi, will try to get them tomorrow.

Question Author

Let me know what you think Maggie

They are £3.33 at Amazon for 25 washes.  I buy liquid for £3.42 for 60 washes.  That is expensive.

I saw these advertised on FB a while back. Thought they were a great idea but the cost sank it for me.

This evironmentally friendly stuff needs to come down in price so that more of us than the advocado mummies can afford it.

Perhaps there should be tax breaks for companies that sell these kind of things.

Hopefully the more who turn to them, the cheaper they'll get Rocky, I'd like to think so

Fingers crossed

Hopefully my small contribution helps the environment 😊

As an avid consumer of avocado I'd love to know what an avocado mummy is ?

Please enlighten me rockyracoon

Made in China so how green are they?

I think they probably dissolve or disperse rather than evaporate.

Of course they do things differently on the continent.

I don't think anything that can be made in the UK but is imported from China should be labelled environmentally friendly

That's a very good point, barry.  The processes by which 'environmentally friendly' products are produced is often far from environmentally friendly.

'Soapy drawers' sounds nasty, but I expect you can get some cream for the results.  ;o)

I've just realised that it is one sheet for a 4.5kg load.  2 for larger, more environmentally friendly loads - so that is very expensive, most washing machines can wash twice that weight.
