The Club is now Open.
Welcome, one and all.

How wonderful it is to be back amongst you all.

All members will be pleased to note that The Committee will be meeting next week to consider the important matter of subscriptions. In these times of economic downturn, it may be necessary to make a small...er...substantial increase.
Staff wages will also be under consideration and new posts are always available to suitably qualified applicants.
Usual terms and conditions apply. (See Mamyalynne for details).

I am very hopeful that one of our members will be carrying on the now-established tradition of giving us a talk on their specialist subject...come on now, I know that there are many talented members out there, bursting with knowledge of knitting socks and turning heels, crotcheting toilet roll covers, origami through the bamboos, the history of the apostrophe from medieval times and many other topics of interest to us all.
Again, usual terms and condition apply, the box for the speaker's fee is on the hall table. (Large denomination notes only, please.)

for the raffle, a dead bee(sorry)

Murderer!

I think instead of raffling it, we should give it a decent burial.....or cremate it in the hall fire.
It was Champagne that Ena brought to celebrate her good news and my Birthday Milday and there is some for you and his Ludship in the cellar.
I think a burial at sea would be more appropriate. We can go outside and chuck it in the moat.
i'lady could say a few words..
Do we not have a bee-eater bird in the menagerie? It could have a treat.
Question Author
Thank you, Mamya...that's OK then. As long as we can have our share.
I did think for a while that there had been another raid on lordalex's wine cellar...it has happened before, you know.

Happy unbirthday, Mamya and happy birthday for last week.
Question Author
Feel free to speak, Miss meg....
Okay, first get one camel and loads of newspaper
A seabee
Question Author
Sorry, misread your post, Miss Meg, thought you would be saying a few words over the bee as we floated it off to Bee-Valhalla in its flaming longship in the moat.

However, I'm all ears regarding the camels......your words of wisdom might come in useful later for lordalex and Uncle Joe
The Americans are going to be so mad!
Question Author
Have our cousins arrived ?
Confused, I thought as matriach you would say a few words re the bee.

When the camel starts to squat guide it to the paper.
Question Author
Very well.
Is the flaming longboat ready ?
language Ladya there is no need to get annoyed just because the bee died, I had it a long time it was probably old age
Question Author
Well, I'm sure it deserves a hero's funeral.
So, I'm placing it in the longboat and setting fire to it.

All together now:

Oh how very stirring I have a tear in my eye, let us raise a glass to the poor beestie
Question Author
I'm with you there, Mamya.
A large glass of whatever you have most of, please.
So moving, will have to have another drink to get over the trauma.
M'lady, you gave it a grand send off, well done my dear.
But a seabee needs an airstrip!
