As I am not sure whether her Ladyship has returned from her travels in New England, I am happy once again to invite you all to pop in.

There is a large selection of tailcocks on the side buffet table and some warm melton mowbrays pies straight from the aga. That should cheer us on a damp and chilly bank holiday weekend.

I feel turnout will be low tonight, so perhaps any donated items could go into a bran tub instead of the non raffle (that should appease the committee-whoever they are)

My small donation is
3 apostle spoons
and a jar of vegemite.

Hi Alex, do windmills stop the moles, never heard that before.
Did you find a purse in the moat? If so it's mine, ta.
Good evening everyone, I do hope there are some pies left, I'm feeling a bit peckish now. I've been waylaid on the Eurovision channel, never heard such bawling and catrwauling in all my life.
For the bran tub I've bought a bottle of Benedictine, made by monks doncha know, tastes awful, but someone might like it if you drown it in orange juice or somethink.
A tailcock would do nicely thank you.

Hi Boxtops, hope you enjoyed your trip, matron has popped out but drinks and nibbles are in the usual place
oops Matron has returned
Hello boxy, did you have a good time? Welcome back, did you bring us a camel? Humph is chomping on the bit in anticipation of a new chum.
Fabbo thank you all, we have come back completely rested out. I have a dromedary in the back yard, they did not have one-hump camels, it was either that or a donkey (of which there were many). Dromedaries are excellent as passenger vehicles but I forebore from a test ride. This may be one for his lordship when he returns....
Question Author
welcome back boxtops, I do hate to correct you but the Dromedary is the one humped variety!! But good fun all the same.
Well I have been known as a smooth operator sometimes mamyalynne
You may Mamya, I have no personal knowledge of the camel family, only that our chauffeur referred to them (when we went to the camel shop) as "les dromedaires" in his impeccable French, so I have made a poor translation!
boxtops, you should have gone to "camels r us" I find the assistants there are ver helpful
I guess that would be Dromedaires Sommes Nous then alex.....and no, I can't give you that in Arabic either!!
