The club is now open.

Good evening everyone.
The Committee have met again and decided.

I do hope that members will not be deterred by the ash tonight as the non-raffle has some lush prizes.
eg A hardly used bar of Pears soap
two bars of Ex-lax
and a beautifully hand-crafted tea-cosy in fetching shades of mustard and lime.(No kitachen is complete without one of them.)

I'm sure other prizes will emerge as the evening progresses.

Thank you so much for the prizes and , of course all your work preparing the nibbles etc. I shall have to look into reducing your wages.

I hope all went well last week in my absence .
Question Author
Hello petal. I missed you too. In a way.

Are you attending an outdoor performance of the Bard ?
there's a rival club over on chatterback
Question Author
I never go there. It's no place for a lady.
And I'm scared of most of them.
yes, making use of the fine weather, also the sopworth camel grounded by ash
Good evening all! Petal, I am dismayed there is a rival club - I knew a pub had opened but that's not really my scene. Surely not as genteel or barmy as here? Evening milady (as I work my way round the rubble), I have some string beans and some string - you use one of them for macramé, perhaps we could have a demo?
A rival, surely a poor imitation!!
stumbled over it by accident,on my way to the privy
are they drunk already, then? Tisk! The nights are drawing out - we might not need the lamps until later.
Question Author
I think we should rise above them, whoever they are.

Hope you enjoyed the performance of the Dane, Petal, even if he did get drunk.

Hello boxtops, nice to see you again too. Macrame demonstration, now that is a thought. I remember we had one of them once, sadly at the same time as the cat brought in a still live mouse. Mayhem I think is the best description of what ensued. It took us 2 full hours to get lordalex untied....some say we should have left him tied up, but he was quieter then.
i'm not going to conga ,ate some sprouts, enough said!
Its a bar Petal, surely there is no comparison to the high level of entertainment provided in these lush surroundings.
i wasn't too sure, surprisingly i've led a very sheltered life. Hamlet was most uplifting in an odd sort of way
Question Author
HAmlet ? Uplifting ?
I must have seen the wrong play.
it was the peruvian Hamlet,my native american phrase book prob out of date
Question Author
That explains it, Petal. Was worried there.
Did they have pan pipes ?
Did they ever sort it out about Toby ?
probably the cigar eh petal?

Oh not macrame once did myself a mischief!!
Question Author
I totally agree with you Mamya...no macrame....it's hard on the fingers never mind all the aggravation with sorting out what you do with it afterwards.
