I'm afraid I can only give you the top ten Scottish islands along with their areas in hectares:- Lewis/Harris (220020); Shetland Mainland (100230); Mull (87794); South Uist (72827); Islay (61956); Orkney Mainland (58308); Arran (43201); Jura (36692); Yell (21211), and Hoy (14318).

Thanks Gef
To The Rut- many thanks for your kind 3 star rating. However I realised that Skye was missing form the list and checked again. The book I have is "The Scottish Islands" by Hamish Haswell-Smith and I was surprised to find that he no longer recognises Skye as an island since it now has a fixed link (bridge) to the mainland. I find this rather strange and, in my opinion, Skye (165625 hectares) is still the second largest island. Also the figure for South Uist includes North Uist and Benbecula as well as they are linked by roads/ causeways. Taking them individually, South Uist and North Uist would be 9th and 10th (if Skye is 2nd) and Benbecula would not feature.
