Your turn for the jab this week! Will you roll up the sleeve when called? I'm still under 60 so a while for me to wait yet.
At 75 I got mine on Saturday after 2 days' notice via a phone call. I asked if my 73 year-old wife could have hers at the same time but was (reasonably) refused. We're now hovering by the telephone just in case they ring to offer hers.
Incidentally, mine was done at a local Working Mens' Club and the organisation was terrific.
\\ Why can't the district nurse and ice cream man bring it door to door?//
For the simple reason they can inoculate a lot more people if you go to them. Example, my local clinic organised a mass flu inoculation, from the time I entered the building, had my temperature taken, had the jab and left via the emergency exit, 40 seconds had passed. If a nurse had come to my home it would have taken 20 minutes.
TTT - not even a cup of tea. It was like a whirlwind going through there; because I wasn't driving I didn't even get the 15min sit-down they threaten you with.
The older you are the lass of a gamble it is really, well that's the way I look at it. The younger you are with your whole life in front of you, then I (may) think twice of any kick backs there may be?? I shall take it.
