I believe this useful idiot for the Kremlin needs to be banned from politics. He is a threat to our security and safety. He is no politician ,just a serial mischief maker with his loony conspiracy theories. Mind you a couple or three on Answerbank would,no doubt, welcome here with open arms if he hasn't already infiltrated. He has never been anything other than an odious creep.

Try not to worry, he'll be dead soon.

fingers crossed🤞

I suspect that there are many more candidates waiting in the wings for  the GE who will represent certain types of areas of GB such as Rotherham or Bolton.  They will be elected and as a combined force should be scary.

the problem being, he's been elected democratically.

there are people who ask others on AB to stop whinging because of a democratic decision made in 2016.  Those people should practice what they preach.

PS i agree he's completely bonkers, but then i though the same about boris!

I wouldnt take him too seriously.

The growing threat from the others is a different matter.

11:17 there is no equivalence. No one is moaning about his election bednobs. He was legitimately elected fair enough. That does not mean we have to stay silent when he opens his trap and spouts this kind of twaddle.

The question referred to banning him from politics: I don't think we can do that, tempting though it may be. I also think he is, thankfully, a bit of a one-off, so I don't see too many other George Galloways crawling out of the woodwork come the election campaign.

I was watching Steve Rosenberg's review of the Russian press, full of demented nonsense about "The west" being responsible for Crocus Hall, and the bit where a "British politician" is quoted: I knew what was coming before Galloway's name was mentioned. He's never heard of Rossiskaya Gazeta? Typical slimy get-out. He is a disgrace.

At least he is out in the open and can be rubbished - it's the ones who work in the background who are the deeper problem.  Best to 'keep him in the tent'.

Yes Jourdain. An oxygen tent moins oxygen.

Brilliant, retro! :)

Off to make chicken & mushroom soup now - taken 2 days so far, working in 15min. bursts.

As advised, Mr Galloway is a democratically elected MP.

That does entitle him to exercise his vivid imagination, but we are not obliged to listen to him, or take him seriously.

Retro - this man is not worth the exercise of your mental effort to be annoyed with him.

He would love to think he has upset you, an excellent reason to ignore his nonsense.

The trouble is, certain people take him seriously: or at least use him for their propaganda purposes. That makes him a menace.

Didn't he used to be on Sputnik TV on Russia Today? He's still in the pay of the Russians it would seem.

This press release will be used by Putin no doubt for justification of all he dispicable actions.

We used to hang traitors didn't we?

Putin's useful idiot only won his seat because his stance on Palestine. Let's wait and see how the predominant muslim constituents enjoy their Gorgeous George grand standing himself on the world of politics and ignoring  the requirements of his Rochdale residents. Purring Pussy indeed.

He shouldn't be ignored.  He's a dangerous man.  That he is democratically elected to our parliament should be a cause for concern.

An elected politician in a UK Parliament happy to sell his country down the river. Just another Philby and Co. I bet he can't wait to be seen on the May day Parade podium next to his terrorist and War criminal chum Putin

there are people who ask others on AB to stop whinging because of a democratic decision made in 2016.  - a phrase frequently on the lips of our wisest of the wise moderators I recall.

That he is democratically elected should be a cause for concern - oh dear the crazies are out in force

Wilkes was first elected a Member of Parliament in 1757. In the Middlesex election dispute, he fought for the right of his voters—rather than the House of Commons—to determine their representatives.

well OK lets have another dispute!

Galloway is the one who says: there are 30 000 dead in Gaza mostly women and some chldren ( er 2000 that is, not many I suppose) - and this is a disgraceful scandal

he's my man in that case

Galloway and Liberty!

I suppose coming from Dundee Galloway counts as a North Briton?
