A potential Darwin Award winner, picked up a grenade (after first kicking it) and took it home.

Then she saw sense (assisted by FB friends' comments).

What would you have done ?

Not pick up random things.
pulled the pin - and run, a bit like Diana Asher-Smith in the last leg of the relay.
When I was a kid there was a WW2 bomb discovered in a wood in our village - and I missed all the goings on as we were on holiday!

About a mile from where I stay there is an area of ground that had a sign warning that it was a war defense area and not to pick up anything! The area is all tree now - doubt the sign can be seen now!
Well I wouldn't have picked a grenade up that's for sure. Called the police and kept people away til they turned up I suppose.
dummy practice grenades and mortars were painted red until 1940. and a foreign doctor immediately said
"you have life mortar on your hearth."
and I said no dead .... etc
She was the only one to spot it but ------ she was serbocroatian...
My uncle Rolly blew his fingers off ( two ) wivva Boer War grenade in erm 1913
so um yeah it kinda runs in the family ....
left hand
you hold the grenade in the left hand and pull the thingey wivda right ....
my respects to your uncle Rolly, PP, but ... is that all? Two fingers? Is that because the grenade had been around a while? I'd expect a grenade to blow my head off at the very least.

An unexploded bomb was found in the New Forest recently. It had surfaced in the middle of a well used footpath and cycle route. There were quite a few local comments on FB from people what had walked over, cycled over or kicked the bump in the footpath. To be fair to the lady in question it doesn't look like a live grenade and in fact wasn't.

Boer war -cant tell you what the power was
My grandparents had taken the trap to a party and Rolly found a grenade and suggested to my father that they play with it.
He said no no and went inside the farm and later heard a bang and found his elder brother covered in blood and minus two fingers outside. The silly boy had gone onto play with it by himself. He made other mistakes later in life. My father put the hand in a bucket of warm water which the civil surgeon was good enough to say had saved Rolly's life and then sutured the fingers but included the tendons in the repair which gave Rolly a claw left hand for the rest of his life.

the long term result - my father spent 5 y in a POW camp whilst Rolly was rolling around SA unfit for service and unable to fight for King George and loudly proclaiming his missfortune
// and then put some slap on //
come on lady prioritise - slap first ....
must be hard wired
this was one of my neighbours

so two fingers to that !

It became lawful to sell fireworks at 12 midday and this stupid child had injured himself by 1500. We claim the British and Commonwealth record on this certified time ....
Lol pp. Safety before slap every time. And i am well known for my ability to stay calm in a crisis and take charge.

What a bloody idiot tho. At least she had the decency to be embarrassed.
Dropped it in a cocktail and said oops I I didn't hear you right when you said grenadine. Have it on the house
