Okay.. true story. You visit a colleague's house. You don't know them very well. You have a very heavy period. You accidentally get blood on the BASE of the loo roll. ie- the flat bit, so it is actually on the edge of pretty much every sheet. There is only one loo roll in the toilet (downstairs). You can either leave it there or steal it. If you steal it, you leave the loo with no loo roll, and you have to carry it around in your bag, which may be obvious. You are the only guest other than one male friend.

Well Scarlett, he will be too embarrassed to ever mention it and realise that you were too embarrased to mention it, so I would cease to worry.
It happened to me in a friends flat where I was a guest except I soaked the bedding and stained a mattress. It was a male friend. I was extremely upset and embarrassed, but I had to tell him. I stripped the bed, told him what had happened and he was extremely understanding. That was 40 years ago, and these days blokes are much more understanding.

I did object one time (quietyly) to the manager of a RBS branch in Scotland when the teller had her handbag contents all out over the desk on her side, including her sanitary wear - that was a bit much when you are into collect some of their funny money.

I think you should have hidden the roll in your bag or secreted it on your person
Then you could have bashed your head against the wall until you had severe bruising and maybe a cut or two and ripped some of your clothing.
Then slammed the front door hard enough to break the lock and any glazed panels and thrown yourself onto the hall floor.
When your host appears you could have told him you had disturbed a burglar, fought him off and saved all his belongings - except for the toilet roll which the burglar had grabbed when you threw it at him.
