Mrs B used to run a Maternity Ward in a large multistory City Hospital,
as at any one time she could have a number of women with epidurals so unable to move, if she saw a Fire Engine arrive she would always go down to find out what was wrong.
It was quite often something very similar to the OP. The list of objects removed from various bodily parts was a long one ;o)
