Hey sara3. my 4 yr old son's just been diagnosed as hypermobile-he's just had insoles put in his shoes to help strengthen his joints. Do you suffer with any pain at all-sorry but I've only just found out about it and don't know anyone else with it.
there are different types of hyper-mobility. you can get it in your muscles or joints. I don't get any direct pain but can't sit in a regular chair for a long time, and always lean on the arms or sit on my feet. at home I often sit with my feet up, and usually the same way so I get backache. I was at a meeting over a week ago and my back still aches just from sitting properly in an uncomfortable chair.
my friend's daughter has it in her muscles, and she can't jump, bless her!

Thnx for the reply sara, my little boy doesn't seem to be in pain thankfully-but his knee and ankles are very weak but I've been told he's curable albeit it'll take a long time. Sorry pasta for cutting into the thread but it's just I'd never heard of it until now. Thnx again sara-it just sorts of freaks you out when you hear your child suffers from something.
