Personally I cannot see anything offensive about these posters, at least they are tame in comparison to some of the images show on TV, both in commercials and pre-watershed programmes.

But this is from a males point of view, do you ladies find them denigrating towards women in any way?

If this kind of thing is tolerable now what on earth will ads be like in a few years time? Where is Mary Whitehouse when she's needed!(TIC)
Rather than embarrassed I would think an elderly woman would be desparately sad that women are still being reduced to passive objects for gawping at.
Regardless of age, anyone with an iota of good manners and dignity would find this tasteless.

I think it's pretty clear from the general response that the country hasn't gone to hell in a handbasket and we do find it unacceptable.

I rather suspect that the target of the original advert was the Lads-mags.

Someone then widened the scope of the campaign without thinking about it carefully enough
Yeah - to be honest, it is the 3rd image that's a little out of order. The first 2 are ok.
naomi.....but many do not find it tasteless..........are they all bad mannered and lacking in dignity?

I suppose that your answer will be YES,

/// Actually, AOG, I'm surprised you don't find these posters distasteful - especially the third one. I don't see it as 'fun' at all. It's just tacky and crude and aimed at the lowest common denominator - 'common' being an understatement.///

"It's just a bit of fun" was referring to the remark about looking up kilts.

Regarding the third picture it is what you want it to be, in your mind it is tacky and crude aimed at the lowest common denominator.

But to me it is a photo of a chap who is feeling the quality of the dress material, while for some reason the female has to be so provocative in letting him carry out this task, only she knows.

AOG LOL
Ok guys, how would you feel if the poster showed a woman 'feeling the quality of the material' (I suspect you are winding us up aog) of an unzipped fly while the man was lounging passively on a chair?
Yeah nice one AoG - I always knew you had a SoH really ;-)

tiger.....as long as you couldn't see his penis, it wouldn't bother me...............I cant see your point tiger, one would only see underpants, advertised all over the media.
Yes, AOG, of course. What's that expression? Pull the other one? Oops, in present circumstances perhaps I'd better not say that! There's a word - or three - I'd normally use for people like you, but since this is AB I won't.
Offensive? Why? Don't people ever do such things??? Mmmmmmmhhhhhh...................strange world when individuals can think of nothing better than getting "offended" about a saucy poster?
I'm not offended. I just think it's in particularly poor taste.
Sqad - the point is the context. We all see underwear in catalogues etc but this, in my opinion, is smutty.
tiger.....fine........and this thread is what it is all about.............opinions.

I'm not offended - just think the 3rd image in particular is a bit out of order for a shopping centre....
