Sorry, don't have a link. But he seems to have lost his attack on C Steel because of what his supporters will call a technicality.

I saw it on the telly just now. Maybe an intelligent ABer might provide more info.

what C Steel known as Carbon Steel ... ?

The technicality was that the claim had not been brought within the six-year limitation period, so quite reasonable that the case was thrown out, regardless of merit

(which I believe was dubious, and the case primarily lodged by Trump to cause the defendant to spend loads on defence costs).

these are called SLAPPs - strategic litigation against public participation. SLAPPs are typically framed as defamation cases brought by wealthy individuals (including Russian oligarchs) or corporations to evade scrutiny ...

High ct has er 'recently' taken a stance on getting things in Time. Andrew mitchells case against the case ( where he said - "you are here to protect us" and they sued for libel) - he ( his little fluffy solicitor that is) was a day late in a deadline and Mitchell had to pay costs of £250 000.

foo ! that was tenyears ago !!

When Trump loses anything it's good news, but I don't like things won on technicalities as a rule.

On balance though I'll stick with good news.

It's unavoidable. If the case can't even start, it's game over. A technicality is a win at the first opportunity.

//A technicality is a win at the first opportunity.//

Which is great, except when the bad guys win.

well trumps technicality is to go on appealinguntil the other side run out of money.

the  formal tecchnicality is: I have more money than you to start with.

You should keep up with the Post Office Horizon inquiry ( real  time, broadcast)  - for shenanigans - they know the computer system is duff so they bust a gut ( inc poss perjury) to show that the cases are not commected to the computer er when they obviously are....

the lucky ones who are acquitted are made to pay for the losses under contract. There are in fact no losses, only glitches

Is Trump really going to appeal this decision; he had 6 years to bring the case, I can’t see any judge finding in his favour – perhaps Trump’s lawyers are just milking him.

//Is Trump really going to appeal this decision;//

Yes. He appeals everything, the purpose being to delay the result. When the result comes, he'll appeal the result, and so on. It's what you can do if you've got enough money.

He's running out of money though.

Unfortunately, he's able to use money from his re-election campaign to fund the many lawsuits he's invoved in

He's allowed to pay legal expenses with them brainiac, but not the penalties.

So legal fees yes, but the 83 million award for defaming the woman he raped, no.

Also the expected 350 million plus for business fraud, no again.

summary of the case

T says Can I apply  out of time

and the  judges say no -  after applying a four  pronged test
