I wonder who paid for the booze. I sincerely hope that we, the public, didn't. If not who did or did they have a whip-round?
I think I recently read that Johnsion's lawyers are being paid for from public funds, and that he chose very expensive lawyers becuase he is shipping himself that he might come a cropper. Does anyone know if there's any truth in that?
BHG: "I wonder who paid for the booze. I sincerely hope that we, the public, didn't. If not who did or did they have a whip-round? " - yet another ridiculous statement. They have access to the shops too me old china! Personally I hope they did charge it to the tax payer, the least we could do for all the hours they put in during the pandemic for the ungrateful masses.
If they had a whip-round did no-one query what it was for?
Incidentally, even moderately senior civil servants are paid an annual salary, not an hourly rate, and are expected to work any hours required. MPs should fall into that category.
From 2pm tomorrow you can watch Boris live, explaining why when everyone around him was drinking alcohol listening to music, he is so incompetent he did not know he was at a party.

Before the privileges committee, Boris is going to explain that he was unaware that there were parties going on in Downing Street during the covid lockdown, and that he was unaware that he was in attendance at those parties – only TTT is going to swallow that.

"If they had a whip-round did no-one query what it was for?"

The fragrant Allegra may have joked, 'It's for party funds people', before her wee world fell apart, obvs.

In the friendly South we embrace the concept of bring a bottle because we trust each other. I can see how that is a non starter for some, particularly the famously tight fisted. (*_^)
If ex PMs are going to start fessing up that they deceived the house are we to expect Bliar to own up to deceiving the house, and every other house in the land, about weapons of mass destruction and facilitating an illegal war. A war with consequences that cost millions of lives and continues to cause death and misery all around the World. More cake vicar?
"millions of lives"

A bit of an exaggeration! Assuming you're referring to the invasion of Iraq in 2003 and subsequent hostilities, the number of British military personnel who died is 179.
Think the Blues are on the run with this thread.
One can always tell ,when TTT Breaks into a state of panick.

TTT is like a duck out of water on this thread without Naomi . Where are you Naomi, TTT needs your help he is floundering on his own
Not an exaggeration at all. There were an attributed 654,000 excess deaths in Iraq alone up until 2006, according to Lancet, and the numbers are rising still as the power vacuum in the Arab world, caused by the illegal invasion by Bliar and Bush continues to trigger further conflict in Afghanistan and Syria causing a Worldwide refugee crisis.

// the number of British military personnel who died is 179.//

Unbelievably vacuous comment. ♪♪"and you don't count the deeaad with god on your side"♪♪

hardly, i think you'll find they're treating you with the contempt you deserve.
As is always the case, most if not all on here ,when they can be bothered to get involved in your childish antics, and your endlessly boring obsessional subject wipe the floor with you without even having to think about it.
And obviously unlike you some on here have a life meaning they have things that take priorty of playing stupid little games with a board troll.

Bored troll surely?
Unless you’re referring to a character from a 1980s edition of the board gage Dungeon & Dragons, in which case I withdraw…
baz 18:55 BA right there.
Never mind 'BA right there', you know your man is toast when he comes close to an admission of guilt, albeit qualified.

No need to dwell on yesterdays man any longer.
