//In their final hours, Ms Oudeh made six 999 calls after Tarin struck her at a restaurant and followed the pair home, but officers failed to reach them in time.//

Lessons will be learned.
HINDSIGHT is a wonderful thing.
Beggars belief.
One wonders was it was that was more important to pay attention to.
Thoughts and prayers. Lessons will be learned (ie remove all evidence of your uselessness in future) Blah blah blah.
So it's an "honour" killing then? Another classic from TROP.

Doesn't read that way to me, TTT. Just a controlling husband unwilling to accept his wife was no longer under his control.
Yes ken that is the basic definition, wife or daughter not doing what their husband/father wants.
I doubt their religion had much to do with it - same can happen with other families in serious conflict.
10 domestic abuse cases were reported, so this should have been dealt with long before the murders happened.
Would the police have acted if the people concerned weren't Asian ?
Thing is after the police don’t help what then ?
//Would the police have acted if the people concerned weren't Asian ?//

I think there are other such cases where they haven't acted (properly or in time).
If you really want the police to come pronto say you are being threatened with a firearm.
Different cultures. What’s tolerated in Afghanistan, is illegal here. This should have been prevented by West Midlands police. Once again they show their ineptitude.
TTT, as i understand it, an 'honour' killing takes place when the woman is deemed to have brought shame on her own family and it is they who carry out the deed. This, i repeat, does not sound like an honour killing to me.
It’s not an honour killing. It’s abuse / murder of two women . No one came. To there aid assistance. RIP.
