Perhaps a coalition might work :-)

Letting Boris Johnson back into No10 would precipitate a “death spiral” for the Conservative party, a senior Tory has warned.

//William Hague said bringing the former PM back was the “worst idea” he had heard in his 46 years as a member of the Conservative Party.

He told Times Radio: “I think it’d be a very, very bad idea to bring Boris Johnson back. The Conservative Party was doing pretty well until about 18 months ago as the government considering all the problems facing the country. And then things have unravelled spectacularly, including with this disastrous, latest six weeks.

“And this all started, this unravelling, because Boris Johnson was unable to run the government in the right way, to keep it together in the right way, to uphold the high standards of conduct that are necessary in the highest offices in the land.”//

I hope he wins, it’ll precipitate a GE almost immediately.
Much as I really want to see Britain governed by good leaders and prosper, Bobbi I'm delighted that Boris may return.

Many family members in the UK are despairing of the mess and poor leadership and considering a move back to Ireland.....Boris in charge would see that happen....I'd love that. :-)
of course he is lol. he had to be dragged out of no 10 by his fingernails.

He’s charismatic Gness , he’s passionate and I do think he’ll get the 100 votes from his own party, the number needed for him to enter into the race
he’s a man hungry for power and glory… between a swig or two of wine among other things of course

Untitled, we need someone hungry for power to bring their fist down to get things moving
If they do bring Boris back it will turn out be their greatest triumph or worst mistake - depending how the electorate reacts.
Charismatic? Not according to everyone in the Question Time audience, Bobbi. :-)
This is a bit like breaking up with your ex because he's a liar, he lets you down and is completely unreliable; then hooking up with someone else who proves to be even worse; then taking your ex back because they are vaguely better than the replacement model.

I rarely discuss politics and I have voted tory all my life. But at present, they could not run a tap. The party is put before the country. It's a shambolic sh** storm.
Hungry for power? I’d rather we had a PM who put the needs of the country and electorate as their priority, not a power-hungry horror show lurching from one scandal to another on a weekly basis.

Johnson is all about him first, Party second, country a very distant third.

Great analogy Barmaid.

Gness we all have our opinions and if you like, hopes but in all my voting years I’ve never felt my country to be so unstable, we need change and truthfully what we’ve got now and there was a GE next week, I don’t think I could vote at all
He’s a creepy liar .
I agree with BM on this. I've voted Tory since I could vote but this is a total sh** show!

Seems Sunak is currently leading on MP votes and I'd be happy for him to win.

It doesn't make much difference who gets in - they are all career politicans with their eye to the top job rather than the good of the country. Any sense of duty to the country disappeared decades ago. I think Rishi will get in.
Bobbi. If I woke up tomorrow morning and suddenly read that someone had miraculously appeared who could lead your country well and unite it despite the problems I'd be delighted, as would so many folk in my country.
Like you, in your position I wouldn't know who the hell to vote for and that's bad.
A decent summing up.
Warning: bad language.

I don't have a dog in this fight but if Boris runs I will have. Anyone but him.
