She is the most unprofessional of all the news readers when trying to announce breaking news - she constantly looks down at whatever she is reading from and ums and ars trying to make an announcement when she doesn't know what to say and keeps repeating the same thing. Very annoying.

I'm a little more forgiving; I have no idea how they deal with breaking news coming through their ear piece live whilst trying to read something that's being typed rapidly to their screen. They have absolutely no idea what the breaking news is going to be or what the next sentence is. What more can she do than simply repeat what she's reading?
she looks nice tho'
I agree with you, maydup. In circumstances like that they have to fill the time. Imagine the viewers having to watch them wait for the next instruction.
No doubt some of the female abers could do a lot better , they have a way with words.
Do you mean in general or are you referring to her announcing the release of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe?
Dont care, dont pay for her so not my problem.
I think she is good at her job.
I've just had to look up which one she is, she's OK.

The problem is, news-readers are handed a piece of paper with sometimes hand-written notes on it, they don't have chance to even scan through it to see where it's leading, & at the same time they've got a producer blaring instructions at them through earphones.
Have a heart luv.
The journalist who has really impressed me recently is the BBC's James Waterhouse, who reports from Ukraine.
She choked up over the news that Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe is being released at last.

po' fing ! The Gosle is struggling with English
You cant pick up a piece of english and 'announce ' it - same as Arabic but I think you can in French

// The journalist ..... who reports from Ukraine.//
ish

One time they said - and what is happening in Mariupol? O god knows it is far to dangerous to go down THERE

(medical equiv is' god I cant go into a hospital - they're all SICK!')
Maybe she should have a wee soft shoe shuffle rehearsed, or a couple of one liners to hand.

So unprofessional.

Casts eyes skyward.
Hey come here! Ukraine? Putin calls it My=kraine!
ter daah

hwo do yu know Putin is lying - you can see his lips move! ter daaah !
I didn’t see this but I agree about James Waterhouse. What I find annoying is Huw Edwards always asking reporters for their sense of what is going on
BBC reporter Clive Myrie has shot up in my estimation since he spoke ad lib from Ukraine. When he was interviewed he was asked some quite personal as well as general questions, he even wept a tear at one point
Great guy.
I agree, Khandro. Superb.
Yes,I like Clive Myrie and Rita Chakrabati too.
Yes I'm a fan of Mr Myrie and he's lovely on Mastermind as well;-)
I don't care as long we get the breaking news. If it's breaking at that moment I wouldn't expect it to be delivered as if the newsreader had a few hours to rehearse it.
