"About 90% of French adults are fully vaccinated."(from the Sky Link^) translates into reality language as, about 76.1% of the French population are double vaccinated.

Moderation seems out the Overton

yeah he said :

Emmanuel Macron veut "emmerder les non-vaccinés" : "Pas une petite phrase, un raisonnement" assure un proche

oo-la-la! and all the way up as well according to some reports

I only quote in forrin to spare the notorious blush-prone leddies on AB - who swoon at the least curse word
Could be worse. He might want to p*** on them..

From Tora's Sky Link article again:

"Coronavirus patients are taking up more than 72% of France's intensive care unit beds, and most of them are unvaccinated.

There are more than 20,000 people hospitalised with the virus - a number that has been increasing steadily for weeks but not as sharply as the country's cases."

Yet more contextless data and rather strange if this French equivalent of the Office of National Statistics is viewed:

I thought I did warn you, years ago, about Macron. If not, I'm sorry and it was somewhere else. We lived there when he got his first elevation -- and he was all mouth and totally useless, honestly. Laughed at. People saw through this new, useless prat (I paraphrase). He was going nowhere until he seized his chance and formed En Marche - which won because it wasn't the others.
He isn't a proper president really - and this vituperation proves it. Unless France has changed a lot (and I doubt that the France Profonde has) this won't go down well, Vindictive and stupid.
It was a stupid and childish thing to say.
