Sadly, Starmer wins by default not on merit.
Starmer has done *** all, he is just benefitting from Boris’ own goals.

We have the worst Government for decades, but also the worst opposition.
Sadly if Labour were a decent opposition Boris would have gone ages ago .
Jeez not another thread about Boris. Same thing over and over and over again. Boring.

Dead .
Ha,flipping,ha.I meant the modern day alternatives to these leaders. As you well knew.
If Churchill was alive today, he’d be turning in his grave ;-/
as i recall even Churchill had many detractors and was kicked out of office once the war was over. He got back in eventually but it must have been galling to be dumped in the first place.
The problem for Boris is everything is more visible today and people expect more.In Churchill,Attlee and even Thatcher’s the mushroom treatment was accepted quite happily.
Grumpy, i agree. Expectations and campaigning is different these days. There is no justice in politics, Boris led us through the dark days of lockdowns but now things are unravelling for him. Glad i am not a politician.
as oft said, damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.
There have been numerous examples of the PMs colleagues breaking lockdown rules, the party at No.10 is just the latest.
The Barnard Castle PR disaster was the start. The Garden at No.10 used for a bizarre Cummings monologue, where he explained away a 600 mile trip as for testing his eye sight. No one ever believed that excuse, but it set a precedent: - Lie your way out of any difficult situation.

Gully I have £100 to the charity of your choice that says the Tories will provide the PM after the 2024 election. Have you got the guts to back your own rhetoric?
Tora, I've got a fiver that says I know the answer to your above question!
I know, paper tigers can't change their stripes.
...the silence is deafening!
It's pretty clear at this point that gulliver isn't going to take the bet. Nor is he obliged to --not everyone wants to gamble, and there's no obligation to take any offered bet. I'd encourage you to drop the offer from now on, TTT.

Gully, just out of interest, other than knitting, nattering, and obsessing about Boris, do you have any hobbies?
