I refuse to believe that the safety of our Nation is decided on a Politically Correct basis, Naomi, and the Prevent review has been derailed by "Left-wing groups."
At the very lest, i would hope the manpower for each case is taken on merit, irrespective of the source of the threatened terrorism.
Perhaps Prevent need more government funds to combat the rise in nut-cases?

Agree. On my first two tours of Ulster, one of our tasks was to man the gates through which shoppers were admitted to Belfast's shopping precinct. Despite our diligence, the makings of explosive devices still got through from time to time.

I'd hazard a guess, Ken, that when you were in Ulster you had no reservations in stopping people you suspected - unlike, say, security at the concert in Manchester who didn't stop the suspect lest accusations of racism resulted. The outcome was 23 dead and many more injured. Political correctness at its very worst.
