Its this new fangled thing called autocorrect.

If you could use a browser you could look it up. Gulliver/Oliver One typo in Gulliver probably tricked it to correct to Oliver.
Sorry Oliver. this reply applied to the post written by Gulliver. Hic!
A major shortage of Carling is a thing to be celebrated!
12,.53 YMB , excuses , excuses. You Cons/ Brexiteers certainly support each other even when wrong.... PMSL.

YMB: "One typo in Gulliver probably tricked it to correct to Oliver. " - well he's round the Twist anyway!
And where exactly have I supported anyone in that post?
Oh dear, I seem to be upseting the Brexit Brotherhood today.
//…do you have a Spoons in your village gully?//

He wouldn’t do because he, apparently, doesn’t live in the UK. The last I took an interest in his personal life he told us he was sitting on the beach sipping a Piña colada, watching the sun go down over a deep blue sea. I don’t think Wetherspoons has any outlets where you can do that. There is the Royal Victoria Pavilion in Ramsgate. That fronts on to the beach but the horizon over the sea is to the east. Of course if he lives, as some suspect, in his Mum’s attic or cellar he may have a local Wetherspoons, but probably doesn’t know where it is.

//Wetherspoons got a £48 Million loan but still treated its staff appallingly during lockdown.//

No they didn’t. They were misreported in the Press and it gave the impression they had treated their staff badly. The Press said that Mr Martin had told them to go and get a job in Tesco’s – giving the impression he cared not a jot what happened to them. What in fact he said was that he would quite understand if they wanted to work in Tesco’s during the pandemic if they needed certainty and security. He also said that any former workers for the pub chain would receive first priority on future applications to rejoin the company:

You need to bear in mind that this was immediately after the first lockdown and many companies were struggling to understand how they would keep going with no income. It’s easy to sit back and criticise, but these were unprecedented circumstances.

Nice post NJ. Clarification required but unheeded by gulliver1. Infamy, infamy, they’ve all got it in for me.....

Doesn't fit with the narrative of only stupid "nasty" Tories voting for Brexit does it, ignoring all the Labour supporters who voted for it.
17.32 Why don't you follow your own advice mr Small and find yourself a dark corner.
Anyone running a business that buys and sells into Europe knows that Boris stitched everyone up with his trade 'deals'. Its easier for me to sell to Thailand than it is to France and now everything going to Europe has to have a 20% tax on it, code numbers from Defra, and if you are selling anything that's come from an animal (like wool) you have to have a veterinary certificate for every consignment. However, I seem to be able to buy what I like from Europe with no problem what-so-ever.
Empty supermarket shelves are more to do with logistics than Brexit/Covid. Thats why some shops like Aldi are well stocked while others like some Sainsbury's have empty shelves.

It's almost as though the EU bureaucracy is trying to punish the UK for having the temerity to leave and showing other the member countries the foolishness of breaking free.
judge 15:04, the left hate successful business, which is odd really because they need someone to pay for their mad cap schemes should they ever return to power.
