When anti-vaxxer rallies begin to look like
The Nuremberg Rally, should we be concerned:

If not, why not?

// According to the Gov. (MHRA) 1,500 people have died shortly after an adverse reaction to the Covid vaccine since Nov2020 in this country . // This is at best highly misleading. https://fullfact.org/online/the-light-vaccines/ I didn't make anything up. I won't claim to have performed a fully comprehensive review of all available data regarding...

If the fatalities had died with covid, rather than merely from it, we wouldn't have seen any significant increases in the death rate. We did. It's a complete nonsense to trot out the "with, not from", line.
//Conclusion: It’s safer to get vaccinated than to get Covid//

We dont know that!
No known long term affects.
What long-term effects are you imagining?
That's the way odds work, pixie. No guarantees - but putting your money on a better bet gives you a better chance of winning.

//NAILIT, if you believe the risk of death or paralysis from taking the jag is higher than the risk of dying from COVID, do you have any links to substantiate that belief//

I have no links...because I have never made that claim!
I'm not sure of your worry about long-term effects either. All vaccines nd medication started somewhere. Unless you are pregnant now, what are you thinking?
How long are you going to wait, Nailit?
It does, naomi- but I would hate to persuade an individual into a decision, and find that was the outcome. Everyone needs to make their own choice.
Nailit is making his own choice.
Again, I'd like to stress that the history of vaccines has shown that adverse effects, if they occur, will occur within at most a couple of months of having the jab. The Covid vaccines have been available for several months, now, so if there were something serious and common (or comparably frequent to the ill effects of Covid) that had been missed in the earlier testing, it would have been seen by now.
//What long-term effects are you imagining?//

Im imagining nothing. Why do you assume that I am imagining something?

I simply made the claim that we cannot know the long term affects of these vaccines.
Keeps closing...
How long, nailit? I thought the same early on, but realised it might be 50+ years before I knew...
Well, obviously we can't know what the effects of having had a Covid vaccine for a year are if it has been around only a few months. But we can be confident that if there were anything serious to worry about then it would have shown up by now.

Put another way, the "claim that we cannot know the long term affects of these vaccines" is merely a truism.
//How long are you going to wait, Nailit?//
Thats a difficult one naomi.
Answer is, I honesty dont know!!
But I can say that I wouldnt trust a drug/vaccine or whatever until its been around for at least a couple of years,
It can only be your choice, Nailit.
Is there anything that will become clear in 2 years, that can't arrive in 10? I'm genuinely interested if you have anything in mind, that could lie dormant for a couple of years?
My coughing Co Op assistant post has vanished, like a virus!
// We dont know that!
No known long term affects.//

yes we do
no one ( well ok 4 in 10 000) has died - and they havent started dying either. You can say we havent waited long enough for any drug or vaccine
Jim, you say you can't find figures for fatal vaccinations aaand then make your own up. 100 worldwide. Aaand then use your made up figure to work out the risks.
According to the Gov. (MHRA) 1,500 people have died shortly after an adverse reaction to the Covid vaccine since Nov2020 in this country .
Thousands more have long term health problems. Hope that gives you a more realistic take on the actuality.
Surprisingly, these ADRs are much more common in younger people who, even you must admit, are much less vulnerable to the effects of Covid.
You are right Nailit. We cannot know the long term effects of the vaccine. They may be bad. What we do know from direct observation is the short term effects of the disease. They are definitely bad.

Personally I choose 'maybe bad' over 'definitely bad', but I'm happy for anyone to choose differently.
