Mr Hughes had his lead pulled or yanked by one AOG who used to refer to him as Hughes or the man Hughes

and there followed acres of protest print, each time freshly ploughed

a veritable surfeit for Hughes fans
(oops)
A nut-job certainly, but he made the best Christmas record ever-Phil Spectors-Christmas Gift For You-including Frosty the Snowman,SantaClaus is Coming to Town, and a classic from Darlene Love-Baby please come home.A lot of the Xmas songs we hear nowadays come from this classic album.
A genius with the sound he created who had a much darker side to him!
the man who was a genius but fell off the cliff of decency. Shame - or manic.
Well he's a stinking hypocrit, PP, but I knew that before his mental, hate-filled rant at me on that Markle thread.
Has anyone on here seen the tv/movie"Phil Spector"starring Al Pacino and Helen Miren?Spector was an eejit, but never a murderer.RIP,Phil.
He's a deranged, murderous lunatic, ynnaf.
"I think I just shot her."

I'm with Roy here. A talented producer for sure, but a murdering waste of oxygen. RIP? Nope, I wish him no peace whatsoever.

A shame he died, as he deserved to spend far longer than he did locked up.
@18.27."I think i just shot her",but not a drop of blood was ever found on him or his clothing. The amount of blood from his alleged victim would have been massive.Again i say ,Spector was innocent.
I thought it was just the Jackson fans...seems not.
Jackson fans?..What are you speaking about,Roy?I aint no Jackson fan.
He means that like the more vocal fans of Michael Jackson, you are arguing the innocence of someone who was, in all probability, as guilty as hell.
LadcyCG - // //Spector adopted twin boys and brought them home on Christmas day without telling his wife Ronnie.//

From a recent thread where I referred to someone by their surname only, Andy's response was:

//The lady is usually referred to as 'Meghan', 'Meghan Markle', or 'The Duchess', and any of those courtesy titles would do - not 'Markle' as though you are a public school sixth former shouting down the corridor to a fag.//

When you are an individual innocent of a crime, I think appropriate respect is a courtesy - such courtesy tends to be given a swerve when referring to convicted murderers.

Hopefully that clears up any misunderstanding.
Interesting that answers are starting to disappear from this thread.

Regardless of what we may think on either side of the argument, due legal process was followed, and a trial ensued and a guity verdict was reached by a jury with a lot more access to evidence than we have in order to make their decision.
There's no misunderstanding, AH, you are a monumental hypocrite and that lame response doth butter no parsnips.

Y'know, I've seen little reason for the removal of any of the posts that have deleted. It's getting to the point where AB is actively discouraging discussion.
