I'm not sure that The Drifters ever recorded that, Seagreens. I know The Tremeloes did. Are you thinking of "There Goes My First Love"?

Thanks to The Builder for the response. The Drifters recorded the song - written by Nelson, Patterson and Treadwell - in 1959, but thanks anyway.

Ah, yes, I missed that. From what I've Googled, Lieber & Stoller were in on the writing as well, and are credited with the production. No mention of Phil Spector.
