@19.47.Hi,Mozz.Timothy Evens and Derek Bentley would like to speak to you.

Spector was brought in to produce the Beatles' Let It Be album, but the band were dissatisfied with the result. A stripped-down version of the album Let It Be Naked was released 20 years ago.
Y'know, I've seen little reason for the removal of any of the posts that have deleted. It's getting to the point where AB is actively discouraging discussion.

100% agree
Disputes about moderation are best addressed directly to the Editor - discussion is discouraged on the site as it derails threads.
Some posts are deleted by mods abusing their powers...
LadyCG - I refer you to my post at 20.06 - off-thread references to monitoring tend to be removed - this is not the place for discussion.

100% agree
@20.04.Spector fairly made a *uck-up of one of the best Beatles recordings ever-The Long and Winding Road.McCartney never forgave Lennon or Spector for this massive *uck up. *=m,by the way.

We were warned lol

An unfair criticism I would suggest.

If you employ Phil Spector as a producer and then complain that he has 'over-orechstrated' your music, that is tantamount to employing a shark as a lifeguard and then complaining when it eats people.

The Beatles were well aquainted with Mr Spector's reputation and style as a producer, I can't really see what else they expected than what he did with the tracks he was given.

You know perfectly well that I was referring to discussion about moderation.

Time to stop mischief-making and either contribute to the thread on the subject, or stop derailing it.

Thank you.
It seems there's little point in trying to reply unless you agree with someone.

The thread is worth reporting though, for a full investigation and that's what I'll do.

Lie-In King - // His musical legacy lives on & for that - RIP. //

A fair point, which once again speaks to the argument about appreciating the art whilst not in any way allowing that appreciation to be seen as tacit endoresment of the behaviour of the artist.
@20.18.Fair point,Andrew,Fair point. But at that time Lennon and McCartney were at each others throats, and a lot of people say that Lennon only gave the "Let it be" tapes to Spector (so he could make a *uck up of them)just to annoy Macca.

That is patently untrue and I think you know it.

Posts and threads are deleted for contravention of Site Rules and no other reason.

That is your right - contrary to your preception that monitoring is only carried out from a personal perspective.

A 'lot of people' say 'a lot of things' and only Mr McCartney knows the truth, and I don't think he posts on here, so we are not likely to know, sadly.
I left a perfectly civil thread (some differing opinions, yes) and came back to one with 5 answers removed. I had read these answers and didn't see anything that warranted removal.

Needles removal of answers derails threads.

I can only repeat my earlier advice - if you feel posts have been deleted without appropriate reasons, then you have the right to raise your issues with the Editor and team.

Experience shows that references to deleted posts are deleted by Moderators because they lead to off-thread arguments which in turn derail threads.

By all means raise your issues with the Ed tomorrow morning, but for tonight, nothing is going to get resolved here and now.
Here's another to be deleted
Andy , you're being so Pompous now
