It looks like we are going to war with our European neighbours.

Big
well we have left, now is the time to get on with things.
Hard to ‘get on with things’ if unworkable tariffs are imposed.
The quarrel I’m referring to is leaving in the first place
if Farage hadn't pushed for it and if David Cameron hadn't called it we would still be in, but he called the referendum and we are now out.
Correct. A very succinct précis.
Cameron offered a referendum because he was scared of the damage UKIP might do to his electoral chances. It worked insofar as he got a small majority. Unfortunately it never crossed his mind that a majority would vote to leave.
Indeed Jack, and how glad am i that he did.
The government propaganda machine almost worked. I expected a significantly larger majority for the Leave vote. My only regret is that Enoch Powell and Ted Heath were no longer alive to witness this historic event. The former would have been jubilant, the latter apoplectic with rage.
Heath was the instigator of getting us into the mess in the first instance, it was De Gaulle who kept us out for so long
//Fairly big aspect tho, eh!//

I think you miss the point, Zacs.

There is little use in having Parliamentary Sovereignty if whenever it is exercised it is usurped by an unelected organisation, the terms of which we are bound by our membership. The only thing we can do to avoid that happening is to resign.
I expect difficulties and real problems probably for quite a while, but am so very glad that we are escaping from what is a German and French ruling regime. Great that the Navy is getting prepared!
some see it as a betrayal apc, personally i am glad we are out, it will undoubtedly be a long road and a difficult one, and these negotiations have been going on a long while.
Actually we're not preventing the French from fishing in UK waters, immediately after Jan 1st, there has always been during these negotiation the very generous offer (some say too generous) of a 3 year transition period, during which the British would stipulate how big the catch could be by EU member states, this to be negotiated annually.
The key point being that WE have the control, it isn't a 'right'.
The EU was succinctly summed up in 1981 in "Yes Minister". Well worth a watch and many a true word is spoken in jest:

“ There is little use in having Parliamentary Sovereignty if whenever it is exercised it is usurped by an unelected organisation”

Except that isn’t what is happening of course. This is a hugely misleading argument, one Johnson is find of making while at the same time doing more with his government than most to undermine Parliament as you yourself have pointed out on occasions with regard to the virus
//Fairly big aspect tho, eh!//

Look at the effort that it has taken top get the civil serpents who are appointed to, and the politicians who are supposedly elected to, do our bidding and not to micro manage our lives and opinions. The EUSSR placemen amongst them(and there were more than even the most jaundiced critics of the project could have imagined) have resisted at every juncture the duty to exercise our Sovereign Rights in our best interests. Even now they would rather stab Britain in the back and cause conflict, to satisfy their new World order zealotry, and salve their despicable fear of Britain being self governing. Why are they still here? Everywhere ,anywhere, else is better surely Shirley
They are just being so petty I think we are far better off without them.
they want their cake and eat it more like
Brexit was based on a great big lie and Britain sends Boris to get a deal .In the words of John Mc Enroe you can not be serious .when will the grovelling start to get back 3/4 week of April do you think ?
