Are they? I'm not sure, we have a Thatcher Close here and the estate was built in the 70s so I doubt it would have been named after those men who thatched roofs??

The borough got its name after Camden Town which itself had got its named from Charles Pratt, 1st Earl Camden in 1795. Camden Town came into its own existence in the 1790’s.

I’d be surprised if Thatcher Close was named after Mrs T. Unless there’s a Wilson Avenue, a Heath Drive etc.
She didn’t become PM until 1979.
This sort of thing is common abroad: I used to walk down Boulevards de La Liberté, L’Egalite and La Fraternité in Nantes ;-)
I got lost driving to a job near Dublin and ended up in Newcastle.
