Prince Harry and Meghan are in the news again today as it's reported they have moved to Santa Barbara and also the release of the book Finding Freedom.
I have been wondering for some time if members of the Royal family are likely to read this book and also if they read the amount of criticism that this couple receive in the media, or perhaps they are more selective in what they read.Your thoughts please.

Re. The Palace, one has one's staff to do the distasteful things like this, so one doesn't need to bother. If one needs to know anything, someone will tell one.

Ok, now naff orrrrf, it's too hot to be communicating with one's lower clarsses.
So you have read accounts from people you don't know (I assume) who "believe" that H and M co-operated with the book. I have read accounts from people who believe the earth is flat.

Not people I know personally Woofgang, but people I know of, not the usual general public.
yes, its people who I know of, not the usual general public who believe the earth is flat
Question Author
Woofgang I don't know why you are trying to wind me up. I couldn't care less if they co-operated or not. That has nothing to do with my original post.
Barsel it was you who opened the subject. I am merely responding.
"I'm not sure if H&M needed to promote the book as I believe it is already a best seller, but although they are saying they were not involved in the writing of the book, people who have read the book feel that isn't true."

I was responding to jno 's question at 15.05pm.
"perhaps they are more selective in what they read.Your thoughts please"

The occupations of our Royalty seem to have been firmly set a few hundred years ago - horses, dogs, shooting, military pomp, religion... and not much else (ask Megan) I personally think this to be a good thing, creating stability and keeping them out of serious mischief. I can't imagine that they read the Press, which in general is for the little people, but their top PPS may take The Times in the privacy of his office. I can only imagine Maj reading orally, like many of her forebears.
I have absolutely no interest in The Royal Family either in the UK or in the USA. However, for a family who seeks their privacy, they seem to court publicity at every opportunity.
Harry & friend both at Eton & 16y followed my 14y neice & friend down Windsor High Street and Harry was heard to call the girls s 1 ags....v. offensive to 2 young girls.

Considering his earlier bereavement & claimed depression, this is not how public a schoolboy behaves! Harry is spoilt, self centred, indulged & uncouth. Dont return to Windsor Harry stay away with your s 1 ag!
not how public a schoolboy behaves

judging by your last sentence, it's also how you behave. Why do you demand better behaviour of others than you're prepared to demonstrate yourself, tambo?
when he was 16 is nearly 20 years ago! Didnt you do anything stupid when u were a teenager?
jno, Am not an Eton college alumni so I can be crude.

bednobs, if I heard Harry's comment he would have been slapped, prince or not!
If you had been, Tamborine, you might have known to use 'alumna'. :-)
I think the pair are short of moolah
and not wallowing in lots of daddy's lovely munnay

I think he does wake and think
1) what am I gonna do today
2) whatbills do I have to pay
Jesus ( or Hayzoos ) - Sta Barbera aint the centre of the world, innit?
// Tamborine, you might have known to use 'alumna'.//
Dougie are you the one who most unfairly referred to my mangled Latin in that Laughable (but still most enjoyable) David Lammy thread ? (*)

is it permissible ( nom fem sing to nom masc pl ) or allowed in poesy?
Antigone keeps on getting philos and not phile ( yeah Gk )

(*) "I dont understand a word he says but still spiteful" had me roaring with laughter
No idea, Peter, but keep up the good work. :-)
To be honest I had forgotten all about them, that's how much they interest me :)

Forgotten about who?

Honestly, with all the accusations of "courting publicity" and the like, it's ironic that the only place I read of their goings on is here on AB!
