The ex police officer seen on video kneeling on George Lloyd's neck has been charged with 3rd degree murder. Is that like manslaughter or is it an actual murder charge?

I hope this poor man's family get justice for him.

Not good is it. No dignity shown for the dead . Just an excuse for looting . These people are not sincere in their crocodile tears, sham grief and displays of faux outrage. If they were genuinely that hurt why would any normal civilised decent human turn to crime and trash other innocent people's livelihood. They are just criminal .No excuses.
If any of the looters are found to have crossed state lines, they'll have the book thrown at them.

I think the majority in the community are wanting peaceful demonstrations but there will be nasty organisations who will travel to pour fuel onto the fire.

I see the protesters are so upset about this awful killing that they’ve decided to steal in protest!

If the culprit has been arrested why are the riots spreading to other cities across the US - and what will put an end to it?
The arrest of the others involved, maybe, Naomi? Had just one of them stepped forward and restrained their colleague, George Lloyd would probably have been alive still.
The looters are scumbags, and I hope they are all caught and punished, but their actions shouldn't be used as an excuse for the crimes of that copper. Mr Lloyd's death mustn't be sidelined by the actions of the slathering horde.
Very true, Mozz. Perhaps, once all those involved are arrested, those thugs who have attached themselves to what was a peaceful protest, can be dealt with summarily.
Apparently this has spread to over 30 US cities and a man has been killed in Detroit. There are protests in London too.
aren't the looters just using the situation to get their hands on something for free?
Stop making excuses for thieving, murderous scum, you idiots.
It's not just the looting though - it's the sheer destruction. They're burning buildings.

The footage of that poor man was horrendous and I hope he/they go down and the key threw away.

But can I ask what did Mr Lloyd do in the first place.
Passed a counterfeit note and DUI.
Had a heart attack.

Apologies, I got his surname wrong. It's Floyd, not Lloyd.

It took 3 or 4 days for Derek Chauvin to be arrested despite the video of him kneeling on Floyd's neck. From what I have read, Chauvin was in this position for 9 minutes causing Floyd to stop breathing. None of the other officers did anything to stop Chauvin.

People have a right to protest, but I agree, the looting and burning is a disgrace and two wrongs do not make a right.
A friends daughter lives there with her husband and two small children, he has a two year contract from his job in IT , she’s terrified as it happened half an hour from their home, they’re under a curfew and can hear the baying mobs smashing shops and they are constantly hearing sirens from police, my friend is worried sick here
There are more than two wrongs going on there, Tigger.

I was just using the phrase as it is usually said. Of course, there are multiple wrongs going on.

Agreed, and every one of them need to be dealt with. Dealing with the rioters has to be the first move. I know the POTUS uas sent in the National Guard, I hope that's sufficient.
