With royal duties pretty much on hold, good for him. What say you?

Pretty sure he won't be easily recognised with all gear and masks on. There shouldn't be any people around for that to happen anyway and those he will be transporting will be the very ill.
danny - East Anglia Air Ambulance isn't military.
Good for him, but to everyone using this as a for to beat his brother with: get a ruddy life. I'm sure he's in lockdown the same as everybody else.
*rod. New tablet's autocorrect is really picky.
What about his old man, isn’t about time he did a tap?
Question Author
What's 'a tap'?
Well done to him, we need as many as we can.
Good for him, I think it's a brilliant idea. If security is a big issue then maybe he could help the military, if he has the relevant licence/experience and there's something local he can help with. If there are helicopter runs of supplies, staff etc...
I dont know how quickly this can be achieved even if he wanted to. In order to maintain a licence you have to do so many flying hours a year (I think). I could be completely wrong about this mind.

No idea what tap means but what would you have him do at 71 ???
Good man. Always been a fan of William.
13.41 , Rubbish , he will not be with Military personnel , if he is flying with Air Ambulance.
Glad to hear of this, but please lay off Harry. I feel we don't even know half the story behind the headlines.
Harry served twice in Afghanistan, the second time as an Apache pilot. What short memories some of you appear to possess. Or should that read 'selective' memories?
Well done to Wills.
I agree about Harry, he has had an admirable career in the forces and used to be everyone's favourite. Not wanting to turn this into a Meghan thread but he has been utterly blinded by love I'm afraid (as have some of the rest of us at times), it's quite a shame that may come back to haunt him. From my experience most that have been in the forces hold it in their heart for life.

Quite a few air ambulance crews fly from RAF stations.
Good for him, might shut the anti royals up for a day or two

That’s always been my stance. It’s a bit galling to hear people criticise and snipe when in reality the lad served his country and subsequently served as an emergency response heli-med pilot.

The critics invariably are as ever those who couldn’t summon the courage to even walk through a Recruitment Office doorway.
Sorry, ‘a tap’ is an Irish word, as in “See that fellow, he’s never done a tap in his life”, meaning he’s bone-idle.
Don’t think anyone is really running William down.My concern would be as second in line to the throne and given the lack of PPE for people on the medical frontline, should he be allowed to place himself at risk?
He was flying choppers for the human good long before Corvid. SAR pilots always have to do some pretty risky flying adjacent to cliffs, mountains and ship's masts etc.
The cost to the tax payer of training a chopper pilot is phenomenal as they first have to learn and qualify to fly a fixed wing aircraft. If they wish to advance their helicopter flying speciality it is eyewateringly more. Good for Prince William to give something back and good luck.
