Hugh Grant advocates tactical voting to 'save the country'

Actor Hugh Grant is on the campaign trail with the Liberal Democrats again today.

On Sunday, he was out with Luciana Berger and today he's accompanying Chuka Umunna, candidate for the Cities of London and Westminster.

Grant - who's been a vocal campaigner for stricter press regulation - tells supporters he's never been involved in a general election campaign before but thinks it's "different this time".

I'm totally in favour of tactical voting if there's a chance of stopping the Tories having a working majority (or, in a Utopian scenario, no seats at all). Tactical voting could see Boris, Raab and Duncan-Smith all losing their seats - bring it on!

so one for the Lib Dems.
Naomi - neither is Boris. He's a mealy-mouthed, incoherent, bumbling idiot.
Oh really, diddly? Nonetheless he is a politician.
Spath, kindly learn the difference in meaning between aught and ought.
"Naomi - neither is Boris. He's a mealy-mouthed, incoherent, bumbling idiot. "

oh the irony...ive asked before, what have you actually achieved, apart from making an utter fool of yourself on here nearly every time you open your mouth...he has achieved high office
Got to say, he hasn't done too badly. ;o)
"TD, you're trolling ... but you know that."

id lay money it was previously here with another name...eh spath...
vote tactically by all means but not for JH Swimsuit and the Lib Nondems. That lot should be ashamed of themselves.
Has anybody heard what, "Brenda from Bristol," has to say?
With comments like that from TTT it's no wonder that female MPs feel bullied and harrassed.
the blokes are getting abused too diddly but they ain't whining about it constantly.
Diddlydo ,16,49 once again you are SPOT ON . Wait for the Flak.
Hugh Grant....yes, he is entitled to his opinion and yes, if he or indeed anyone else wants to vote tactically then that is fine with me.
Lib.Dems...big mistake from the outset. I have great difficulty in stomaching that Jo Swinson woman who is always viewed, gushing, smiling, hugging and coming over all concerned and feeling, surrounded almost always by a gang of women.
That was a poor choice of leader.........too late now to change.
I think something is wrong with the system, if tactical voting is ever a worthwhile option. That doesn't show what people genuinely want.
The Jo Swinson song :-

"You may say I'm a dreamer,
But I'm not the only one,
I hope some day you will join us,
And the world will be as one."
18.10 No , we are to busy listening to the Rubbish that,
" Boris from Eton " keeps spouting on about
Why are you listening to him when you can't stand him? Very odd.
Emmie I would no sooner take any account of what Hugh Grant says as I would what the even more annoying Emma Thompson says.
