Hugh Grant advocates tactical voting to 'save the country'

Actor Hugh Grant is on the campaign trail with the Liberal Democrats again today.

On Sunday, he was out with Luciana Berger and today he's accompanying Chuka Umunna, candidate for the Cities of London and Westminster.

Grant - who's been a vocal campaigner for stricter press regulation - tells supporters he's never been involved in a general election campaign before but thinks it's "different this time".

//But unlike most other people, he has a public platform upon which to air his views//

Political parties have been using celebrity endorsements for years. If the public are dopey enough to be influenced by them, more fool them.
Well if it doesn't then is there any need for brexit?

I thought we were saving the UK from unelected beurocrats?
A hung parliament won't save the country. It's always a pain, and one can see the stagnation that occurs by looking at the recent abominable activities of the HoC. The only way to save anything is to remove all antidemocratic MPs & parties.
I don’t know Zacs. You will have to ask him. Perhaps his preference although I doubt he would be receptive to your enquiries.
Unelected bureaucrats*
True Mozz.
Well, Eddie Izzard campaigning on behalf of Labour was very effective.

TD, you're trolling ... but you know that.

this is a perfectly legit question or two, one about his campaigning and the other about press freedom, it doesn't have to drown in personal spats.
I don't see why his past is being dragged up. What difference does that make to his support for the LibDems?
